After episode 19 of Tower of God season 2 ended with Rak and Endorsi’s reunion with Bam, everyone’s been dying to know what’s next. Unfortunately, Bam didn’t choose to join his friends just yet, but he sure did know that he had to leave FUG now.
With the 20th episode, titled “Like a Flame in the Wind” out, we’ll be discussing that, as well as the release date and speculations for the upcoming episode.

2. Recap of Episode 20
The episode began with Rak crying with relief, knowing that Bam was still alive. When he asked Bam to come back to his friends, Bam found himself in a sticky spot. This is when Endorsi pulled Rak away from Bam, asked Bam for a date in compensation for her help (she blushed red on saying this), and fled the building.

After they left, Novick appeared at the scene. Bam thanked him for the distraction and told him that after the match the next day, he’d be leaving FUG. Elsewhere, we got to see Goseng and Kang Horyang reuniting. They had a heartwarming dance, and Kang Horyang told Goseng that his reunion with Dr. Sophia helped him learn that she only used them as test subjects, so he’ll be returning to her team after the end of the tournament.
After this, the final round of the workshop battle started. Team FUG VS Mad Dog was on one side of the island, and the remaining eight teams were on the other. Right after the match started, Khun advised Wangnan to head toward the summoning area and get their allies. Wangnan did just that, and once he reached the summoning area, he was ambushed by the Halves. However, with Khun’s help, he brilliantly defeated them (we highly recommend you watch this if you haven’t) and got enough points to summon Yihwa, Rak, Quaetro, and Akraptor.
After this, we got to see the fight between Mad Dog and FUG unfold. Bam asked Reflejo to describe what Baragav was like, and once he got the information he needed, Bam asked everyone to stay back in the fight, as he’d go straight for Baragav without causing any more casualties.
Later, Bam recalled the previous day when Beta was talking to him. He gave him the key to the Thorn chamber and encouraged him to steal it, saying it was his best chance to escape FUG’s control. In the present, Bam entered the Thorn room and met Beta again. Things seemed odd at this point, and Beta went into a spiel about the Kingslayer Thorn, a powerful weapon discovered where Enryu, the Irregular, killed a floor administrator.
He told Bam that the FUG originally wanted to use the Thorn to kill Jahad, but since it was already dead, they worked with the Workshop’s scientists to try to awaken it. The Workshop then created Living Ignition Weapons, designed to hold a Devil capable of activating the Thorn, which, it turns out, is inside Bam.
Meanwhile, outside the thorn room, the tables were turned as Reflejo and the other Mad Dog members attacked Novick. At this point, it was clear that the FUG and Mad Dogs were working together and that this was all a plan to have Viole trapped.
Back in the thorn room, Beta explained that the FUG planned to give the Thorn to Baam during the tournament, but a group of Slayers feared Baam might betray them. So, they came up with a new plan to fuse Baam’s soul with the Thorn’s shell, turning him into an Ignition Weapon. After dropping all this, Beta immediately uses a Shinsu attack on Bam, restraining and then stabbing him.
3. What To Expect in Episode 21?
We can expect a full-on fight to unfold between Bam’s friend and the FUG. The Mad Dogs are also going to be involved in it as their collusion has been revealed.
Since Bam succumbing to Beta’s attack is hardly believable, we can expect him to either get some external help or take on Beta on his own. Regardless, the next episode is going to be action-packed and one of the most hyped episodes of the season.
