Top Gear Series 28 Returns with New Episodes and Special in August

The hit moto talk show will be returning with all-new episodes later in August along with a special based in the far east country of Nepal.

All you moto-enthusiasts, hope you are zooooming into the photos of your favorite cars on your screens and not actually putting them to use. Stay home, stay safe, remember? 

Anyway, so here is a treat for y’all speed lovers to help you sit tight at home. Top Gear is returning with a fresh new special set in Nepal and new episodes as well, premiering in August. The car series will premiere a new special and some fresh episodes early next month. Check out the new trailer in the link below. And yes, Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris will be the returning hosts this season too.

When is it coming out?

Top Gear will premiere its latest season on Sunday, August 30, at 8pm ET/PT on BBC AMERICA.

What’s the special about?

Unveiling its plans to start a Nepal special series, BBC America stated the following: “The world’s biggest motoring entertainment show returns this summer with the Top Gear Nepal Special and all-new episodes on BBC AMERICA.”

The announcement further elaborated that for the special spinoff, the team will be embarking on an epic high-altitude voyage from Kathmandu to the Forbidden City of Lo Manthang.

Lo Manthang is a rural municipality in the Mustang district of Nepal’s Gandaki Pradesh. It is sandwiched between the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north and the Dalome rural municipality of Mustang in the south.

A Global Motor Show 

The British television series has had a dedicated following around the globe since its launch in 2002. Returning hosts Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris will continue their talk about the specifications of the latest cars and bikes while reviewing the performance of the vehicles to discover if they match up to the manufacturer’s claim.

Over the years, the trio has been a hit with viewers and critics alike. Expect to see bungee jumping in a car, an epic race between a fighter jet and the latest McLaren hypercar, a road trip through Peru, and more as they travel the globe in pursuit of motoring madness.
