Please do not mistake this petite girl of Ohashi High School as weak, as she can pull punches! Nicknamed a palm-top tiger, she is known for her fierce personality. Due to her complex familial situation, she had adopted a dislikable attitude, often appearing too strong upon others. 

But just like other tsundere characters, she has a soft side, too, which she rarely shows. Since she crosses paths with Ryuji, she starts to change herself for the better, becoming more friendly and mature throughout the series. 

3. Erina Nakiri (Shokugeki no Soma)

Hailed from an influential family and blessed with the ‘God Tongue,’ Erina has many reasons to act superior to others. Further, she is also widely revered for her beauty and culinary talents at Tōtsuki Academy. Despite all these, her secluded and strict background initially made it difficult for her to understand and forge bonds with people. She also appears as someone naive, lacking knowledge about the menial chores. 

Over time, with the help of Soma and his friends, she learns the true meaning of cooking and friendship, allowing her icy deposition to melt at last. 

2. Kyo Sohma (Fruits Basket)

Truly the most adorable tsundere out there! We can all agree that one can never get enough of Kyo Sohma. He is someone who would rather keep himself distant than hurt someone accidentally. 

Most of his behavior can be attributed to the deep-rooted trauma he’d suffered as a Cat zodiac, which had shaped him into a broody and isolated person. 

But he does have a side, who yearns to be understood and loved, which Tohru fulfills later. After beginning a relationship with her, he does grow into a calm and gentler person who is now not afraid to embrace happiness.

She prides herself on being a genius and a mature person, so she often gets embarrassed to reveal her real feelings to anyone, especially Okabe. 

But beneath her feisty facade, she deeply cares about her friends and is ready to do anything for them. This point can be proven by several instances, such as when she cheers up a depressed Okabe or sacrifices her life to bring back Mayuri.
