Gege stayed true to his villainous nature and mistreated his characters to the very end, and fans, too, are now out to get him. Since a Shonen manga with such great potential ended badly, it got us thinking… which shounen manga got an apt ending?

On an earth that has been frozen over by the hands of an ice witch, there are also special individuals with abilities called “blessings.” The main character, Agni, shares the blessing of regeneration with his sister, Luna. They assist the remaining elders in their village by providing sustenance from Agni’s severed arms.

One day, a blessed named Doma arrives in their village and offers to take Agni to his city, Behemdorg. Disgusted by the villagers’ practice of cannibalism, Doma unleashes his unquenchable flames upon them. Although Luna’s regeneration is slower, she ultimately falls victim as well, urging Agni to “live” before she dies.

Horimiya is a manga written by the mangaka HERO and illustrated by Daisuke. It is one of the most popular shounen rom-com manga. The story follows the main characters, Hori and Miyamura, and their lives in high school.

Miyamura is a social recluse, and Hori is a social butterfly. A chance encounter between the two sparked something profoundly wholesome between them, which the entire manga is based on. Besides this, the manga also focuses on the relationships of the friends surrounding Hori and Miyamura.

In order to get his powers under control, Mob gets himself under the wing of Reigen Arataka, a con artist who is pretending to be a psychic. Once he started exorcising evil spirits under Reigen, Mob’s monotonous life suddenly became colorful, and he started learning several valuable life lessons.

Kaguya Sama Live is War is a Slice-of-Life manga written and illustrated by Akasaka Aka, and is one of the most popular rom-com manga of all time.

The story follows the members of Shuchiin Academy’s student council. The president, Shirogane, and the vice-president, Shinomiya, may have something going on between them; however, the bigger the ego people possess, the more reluctant they are to confess to the other. This manga’s funniest parts are made by the different ploys made by each Shirogane and Shinomiya to make the other confess.

Haikyuu! is a very popular sports manga that was written and illustrated by Furudate Haruichi, and the manga finished its serialization in 2020. Even at this point, we can safely say that Haikyuu ended as one of the best sports manga.

This action-packed, tear-jerking, and fun anime had a bittersweet ending, leaving its readers with a sense of grief and satisfaction. The story follows class E, a group of outcasts trained for one specific mission: To assassinate their teacher, who happened to be an indestructible being.

Although the ending of the manga was pretty much predictable, it was still very thought-provoking. The price to pay for a successful assassination was much heavier than any of us could have anticipated.
