Racing games are one of the most successful genres in the gaming world. The adrenaline rush provided by superfast cars brushing past each other through the steep corners of unpredictable circuits keeps the gamers hooked to their screen for hours.
And, Forza Horizon 5 is no exception.
It’s one of the most addictive racing games to date. In November 2021, it broke the record for the highest number of online players for a new game. Additionally, Forza Horizon 5 also witnessed the most substantial open-world map and opening-day car collection in the whole franchise.
With over 500 cars, players may find it troublesome to look for the fastest car in the game. Moreover, the developers, Playground Games, keep adding new wheels to the fleet every week, which can multiply your worries.
No pressure! Here’s a list of the top 10 fastest cars currently in Forza Horizon 5.
10 Bugatti Divo (236 miles per hour)
It’s one of the first modified versions of the Chiron, altered to suit the requirements of a sporty interior.
However, the changes made to the exterior tampered with the car’s aerodynamics created more drag. As a result, with a top speed of 236 miles per hour, the Bugatti Divo is the tenth fastest car in the game.
9 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn (249.7 miles per hour)
The Hoonicorn is the best car for stunts in the Drift Zones of Forza Horizon 5.
With red and blue chargers emerging out of its hood, this Ford Mustang carries a 6.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Thus, it can reach a fantastic top speed of 249.7 miles per hour.
Though its competitor, the Bugatti Veyron, doesn’t feature in the game, the Hoonicorn makes it into the top 10.
8 McLaren Speedtail (249.7 miles per hour)
The Speedtail is McLaren’s attempt to manufacture the fastest car in their history. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine contains a special hybrid modification that aids in the production of 1000 hp of power.
Credits to the McLaren F1 GT, the Speedtail follows a three-seat design in Forza Horizon 5.
With a maximum speed of 249.7 miles per hour, it isn’t the fastest car but, it is one of the most aesthetically pleasing.
7 Bugatti Chiron (259 miles per hour)
With a top speed of 259 miles per hour, the Bugatti Chiron is tremendously fast. It boasts a power generation of 1500 hp thanks to the 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine.
It’s fitted with numerous radiators for constant high-quality cooling.
Also, the Chiron can achieve a maximum speed of 269 miles per hour. The special edition Chiron is reportedly faster than the Koenigsegg Jesko but fails to feature in Forza Horizon 5.
6 Hennessey Venom GT (269.6 miles per hour)
Imagine a Lotus Elise stretched and pulled to contain a 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and rename it to Hennessey Venom GT because that’s what it is.
Similar to the One:1, the Venom GT also maintains a 1:1 power to weight ratio. But, the unique number in this car’s case is 1244, output and weight of the given amount.
It can achieve a top speed of 269.6 miles per hour in Forza Horizon 5 and real life.
5 Porsche Taycan Turbo S (270 miles per hour)
Porsche created their first fully electric car, Taycan Turbo S, to compete with Tesla. It’s considered superior to the Model S but generates less horsepower than the Plaid.
Due to its 2-speed transmission, the Taycan Turbo S possesses high acceleration and a top speed of 270 miles per hour.
4 Koenigsegg One:1 (273 miles per hour)
Like the name suggests, The Koenigsegg One:1 has a 1:1 power to weight ratio. It can generate 1360 PS of power and weighs precisely 1360 kg.
Note: PS is the metric equivalent of horsepower.
The One:1 also contains the same 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine as the Agera RS. And, in the history of the cars manufactured by Koenigsegg, it was the first car to maintain the one-megawatt power output.
Keep in mind, it’s more of a handling-type car in Forza Horizon 5 with a top speed of 273 miles per hour.
3 Koenigsegg Agera RS (280 miles per hour)
The Koenigsegg Agera RS features a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Due to the similarity of its exterior with Agera, the Agera RS is light-weighted.
As a result, it’s the third-fastest car in Forza Horizon 5 with a top speed of 280 miles per hour. But, the Agera RS has no chance of winning against the top two.
2 Rimac Nevera (293.9 miles per hour)
The Nevera is a 100% electric hypercar built by the Croatia-based automobile company, Rimac.
It’s a lightning-fast car with a top speed of 293.9 miles per hour and a potent 2000 hp electric engine. Additionally, the inbuilt feature of instant acceleration can help the car reach from zero to 59.6 miles per hour in two seconds.
1 Koenigsegg Jesko (300+ miles per hour)
The Koenigsegg Jesko is currently the fastest car available (by default) in Forza Horizon 5 without considering mod cars. Jesko can reach a top speed of a whopping 300 miles per hour in-game which is 80% faster than the tenth fastest car. A few quick modifications in the garage can help you get the Jesko to 308 miles per hour as well.
However, it’s easy to confuse it with the Jesko Absolut, a special edition crafted to be the company’s ultimate supercar.
