Manga readers had been eagerly anticipating anime like The Apothecary Diaries, Kaiju No.8, and the chaotic yet wildly entertaining Dan Dad Dan being adapted into anime, and some were fortunate enough to see their wishes fulfilled.

10. My Hero Academia (Season 7)
MHA season 7 lays the groundwork for the series climax, heightening excitement for future events.
This season introduces America’s No.1 Hero Star and Stripe, whose formidable quirk, “New Order,” allows her to manipulate any object with just a touch and imagine the endless possibilities.
It has done justice to the magas action scenes, such as the battle between Endeavor and Hawks vs. All For One, Deku vs. Shigaraki, and All Might vs. All For One.
MHA Season 8 has also been confirmed for 2025, so it’s the perfect time to get a hot chocolate and binge-watch Season 7.
9. Solo Levelling
Solo Levelling tops the chart for this year. Its animation and gripping plotline have won the hearts of not only the manhwa fans but also the anime community.
Sung Jinwoo has gained a fanbase for his stunning looks and how he goes from being a scrawny scaredy cat, upholding the title of the weakest E-rank hunter, to a badass S-rank hunter who levels up solo.
The double dungeon scene, where the statue of the gods meets Jinwoo’s eyes, sent a shiver down my spine, and the cliffhangers in each episode kept me on the edge of my seat.
8. Demon Slayer (Season 4)
Demon Slayer’s Season 4 covers the Hashira Training arc, which revolves around Tanjiro’s journey to become a Hashira. He undergoes strenuous training and reflects on his past battles to overcome his weaknesses.
It animates and explores Hashira’s past; for example, Giyu’s cold nature is explained by revealing his survivor’s guilt from battles and the painful loss of his sister.
It also explores Mitsuri Kanroji and Gyomei Himejima’s backstories to add depth to their characters for the upcoming arcs.

Their love proves that you don’t need a specific language to convey your emotions, as the language of love is heartfelt and transcends words.
You will love this anime if you enjoyed “A Silent Voice.”
6. Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle
Haikyuu!! Fans’ patience paid off this year, as this movie rekindled their love for this anime and the playful rivalry between Hinata and Kageyama.
The movie covers a match between Karasuno and Nekoma High. The fluid visuals show Kenma’s personal development, from someone who doesn’t bother winning to a fired-up player inspired by Hinatas’s spirit.
The intense match even displays the bond between Kuroo and Kenma deepening, Tsukashima and Tetsuro’s shared moments as flashbacks, etc., which are too wholesome to miss out.
It is one of the series’ concluding movies. Another movie is under production, but the dates have yet to be announced.
5 . Kaiju No.8
Kajiu No.8 is the anime for AOT and Tokyo Ghoul fans as the protagonist, Kafka Hibino, ends up getting transformed into a humanoid Daikaiju by accidentally swallowing a smaller Kajiu, sort of like Yuiji eating Sukunas finger.
This anime offers a new take on the Shonen genre. Hibino is a middle-aged man with a childish temperament that will hurt your stomach when you laugh.
In addition to the captivating visuals, the plotline is well-developed. The monster protagonist helps out the humans as an underdog.
4. Dragon Ball DAIMA
To celebrate the franchise’s 40th anniversary, Akira Toriyama delivered his final work to fans, reigniting the spark of the beloved Dragon Ball series.

To unravel the mystery of the curse, the group ventures into the forbidden demon territory, where intense action unfolds to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
While the series is binge-worthy on its own, watching Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z beforehand is recommended to appreciate the depth of the story and its characters.
3. The Apothecary Diaries
The Apothecary Diaries is perfect for medics and mystery junkies out there. It weaves in medical enigmas with court politics with a punch of romance, set against a historical backdrop of imperial China.

Despite her circumstances, she discreetly applies her exceptional medicinal knowledge to solve baffling medical cases in court.
Jinshi, a high-ranking eunuch, notices her sharp intellect and unconventional methods. He enlists her to investigate deeper secrets and unravel even more intricate mysteries within the palace’s walls.
2. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Frieren has got to be the best slice-of-life anime of 2024, as it explores the transcience of human life, emotions, bonds, etc, through the lens of Frieren, an elven mage.
It is set against the backdrop of a fantastical world permeated with magic, mythical creatures, and Frieren’s journey.
After she had defeated the Demon King and returned victorious, her heart was at a loss, as most of her human friends had grown old and feeble and passed away.
She embarked on an emotional quest to cherish her friend’s memories, better understand human emotions and the pain of loss, and cheer the little moments that make your life a complete sphere.
