This anime is really similar to Kaiju No.8 because both main characters start at zero, and they both don’t seem to be human. Kaiju No.8 also has the concept of weapons made from kaiju, which may have been inspired by the weapons in Seraph of the End.

Rin Okumura, a regular teenager with quite a temper, has no idea that his actual father is Satan. Nor did he know about being a suitable vessel. However, after eventually discovering his fate, he decides to change it and joins an academy to train to become an exorcist so that he can foil Satan’s plans. Blue Exorcist is a perfect pick for anyone bored after completing Kaiju No.8, as both anime have multiple overlapping themes.
7 World Trigger
The mysterious beings called ‘Neigbors’ invade Mikaido City after a portal to another world opens on Earth. The Border Defence Agency was established to fight these abominations with ‘Triggers,’ special weaponry to take down Neighbors. Osamu Mikumo is one of such Border trainees. When trying to help the new transfer student Yuuma Kuga, they were attacked by a Neighbor, who was instantly defeated by Kuga, revealing his identity as a humanoid neighbor.
While no anime main character could be the chad Hibino Kafka is, Mikumo still can’t be underestimated. World Trigger is a bit more strategy-oriented than Kaiju No.8, but they still have quite a lot of similarities. The anime may be a bit long, but it’s worth the watch!
6 86: Eighty Six
The Republic of San Magnolia has been at war with the Giadian Empire for nine years. Both sides use unmanned drones to conduct a “war without casualties”. However, young men and women are branded the Eighty-Six and stripped of their humanity, piloting the “unmanned” weapons into battle. Shinn directs the actions of a detachment of the young Eighty-Sixers’ squad known as the “Spearhead” while on the battlefield. Lena is a “handler” who commands the detachment from the remote rear with the help of special communication.
The story may seem a bit more complex than Kaiju No.8, but in reality, it is as easy as it could be. The anime bears lesser similarity to Kaiju No.8 but both stories depict the struggle of humanity to thwart their threat, and in order to do that, humanity is willing to as low as possible.
5 Tokyo Ghoul
Sui Ishida’s Tokyo Ghoul manga and anime adaptation tell a dark tale set in a world divided between humans and ghouls. The story’s heart is Ken Kaneki, a half-ghoul protagonist caught between two worlds. Despite the deep-seated animosity and violence, he strives to unite them through his actions and words, making him an empathetic and relatable figure to the audience. This anime is quite similar to Kaiju No.8 considering the fact that both Kaneki and Kafka became something that’s not human and started using their powers for justice.
4 Chainsaw Man

Then enters Makima, the fan favorite, who makes Denji into her lap dog by providing food, a luxury for the newly born hybrid.

3 Jujutsu Kaisen
Itadori used to be a regular old high schooler until after his grandfather’s death. Although it was a rule to eliminate such individuals in the jujutsu world, Saotru Gojo, an elite jujutsu sorcerer, made an exception and enrolled Yuji in the Jujutsu High School to use his power.
Jujutsu Kaisen may just be a way better version of Kaiju No.8, and in every way possible, starting from action, animation, and storyline to even comedy. If you like Kaiju No.8, there’s no way you won’t love Jujutsu Kaisen.

Instead, the parasite ended up having the right arm under its control. Izumi’s life changes drastically, and he soon realizes he isn’t the only parasitic host. Unlike him, the other hosts aren’t as naive.
Parasyte is one of the best horror-suspense anime there is, and it beats several other anime belonging to the same genre. It is quite similar to Kaiju No.8 for obvious reasons but is lacking in action in comparison. It still has a lot of gore though, so fans who are into that would surely love this anime.
1 Attack On Titan
Humanity was forced to live behind enormous walls due to the threat of man-eating titans. After centuries of peace, the actions of a colossal titan broke down the walls, letting titans in and causing humanity to be massacred.
