A mysterious virus has turned humans into flesh-eating monsters called kabane. These monsters have pushed humanity to build humongous walls to protect themselves.
The only way to kill kabane(s) is to pierce their steel-coated hearts, thus the heavily armored trains capable of killing kabane. Ikoma is one of such technicians maintaining these trains. He wishes to fight on the frontlines against Kabane with his new weapon, and fate grants his wish sooner than expected.
9Solo Leveling
A decade ago, a portal harboring magical beasts from different dimensions appeared on Earth. At the same time, several humans were also blessed with supernatural abilities to fight these monsters. They are ranked from S, the strongest to the weakest rank, E.
Sung Jiwoo, the protagonist of this anime, is considered the world’s weakest hunter. Following a near-death encounter, he is blessed with another shot at life, but this time, he is put on training by an unknown entity to become the strongest hunter ever.
8Fire Force
Humanity is plagued by human combustion turning humans into a flaming creature without any sense of self. The first generations are called infernals, while the second and third are humans who can manipulate these flames without losing their humanity.
To put out these infernals, a special force called Fire Force has been established with the pyrokinetics. Shinra Kusakabe is a third-generation pyrokinetic who joins the Special Fire Force Company 8 to protect people and become a hero.
7Chainsaw Man
To clear his late father’s debt, Denji has to work as a devil hunter from a very young age with his only partner, the chainsaw devil, Pochita.
Years later, when the debtor(yakuza) betrays Denji and kills him, Pochita merges with Denji to save him, birthing the Chainsaw Man. Then enters Makima, the fan favorite, who makes Denji into her lap dog by providing food, a luxury for the newly born hybrid.
6Bleach
Ichigo Kurosaki can see the souls. Ichigo lives with his siblings and his father, who runs a clinic. One day, when a soul reaper named Rukia Kuchihki barges into his room, he is surprised and denies the existence of such beings.
But when a corrupted soul called Hollow attacks his family, he attacks it instinctively. During this fight Rukia accidentally transfers all her powers to Ichigo, making him a soul reaper, triggering a chain of unfortunate events.
5World Trigger
The mysterious beings called ‘Neigbors’ invade Mikaido City after a portal to another world opens on Earth. The Border Defence Agency was established to fight these abominations with ‘Triggers,’ special weaponry to take down Neighbors.
Osamu Mikumo is one of such Border trainees. When trying to help the new transfer student Yuuma Kuga, they were attacked by a Neighbor, who was instantly defeated by Kuga, revealing his identity as a humanoid neighbor.
4Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign
The vampires have come out of hiding after a mysterious virus killed 90% of humanity, leaving only the children who are 13 or younger. These blood-sucking creatures vow to protect remaining of the humanity in exchange for their blood.
When Yuuichirou and others from the Hyakuya orphanage plan to escape, only Yuuichirou survives. He gets saved by the vampire extermination unit called the Moon Demon Company. To exact revenge, he joins the company.
3Parasyte: The Maxim
Shinichi Izumi was suddenly attacked by a parasitic alien while trying to sleep while listening to music. Izumi stopped the parasitic alien from reaching his brain by burrowing into his skin.
Instead, the parasite ended up having the right arm under its control. Izumi’s life changes drastically, and he soon realizes he isn’t the only parasitic host. Unlike him, the other hosts aren’t as naive.
2Attack on Titan
Man-eating gigantic monsters called Titans have pushed humanity to live inside a boundary of enormous walls to protect themselves. After a century of peace, the wall is breached, and Titans have invaded humanity’s only haven.
Humans are being chewed and digested left and right, among them was Eren Yeager’s mother. After witnessing the horror, Eren promises to become strong enough to eliminate every titan and joins the Survey Corps with Mikasa and Armin.
1Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuji Itadori became a member of the occult as it gave him the flexibility to visit his grandfather at the hospital. As if his grandfather’s passing wasn’t enough, Yuji’s picking up a cursed item triggered a chain of events that ultimately led him to become the host of Sukuna, the King of Curses.
Although it is a rule to eliminate such individuals, Saotru Gojo, an elite jujutsu sorcerer, made an exception and enrolled Yuji in the Jujutsu High School to use his power for good.
