If you have not read ‘Tomo-chan is a Girl!’ yet, big mistake, go read it right now. It’s the perfect blend of cute, wholesome, funny, and literally everything that is good in this dying world.
So, when I tell you that news of its anime adaptation had me frantically going through the Internet, you better believe me. (Bless Crunchyroll for making this happen.)
Crunchyroll has confirmed that the ‘Tomo-chan is a Girl!’ manga is inspiring an anime series that will premiere in January 2023. Studio Lay-duce is animating it and Crunchyroll will stream the series after it debuts.
The latest trailer for the anime shows the sweet and sour relationship between the anime’s protagonists:
Tomo-chan is a tomboy, who is bent on the boyish side. Her childhood friend Jun, treats her just like he would treat a guy.
Although Tomo was fine with being treated as a guy so far, the equation is jumbled now that she likes Jun. Sadly for Tomo, not even her prowess in martial arts can solve her problem. The poor girl has to fight just to be seen as a girl.
You should also check out the cute visual where Tomo and Jun are sitting with their backs to each other. Tomo is flushing red and Jun is as oblivious as always.
Lay-duce has lined up all the staff members who will be working on Tomo-chan is a Girl!:

As a long-time fan of Tomo-chan is a Girl!, it’s hard for me to hold down my excitement for the upcoming anime. The two dolts have a lot to learn and go through as Tomo tries to attract Jun in vain and Jun misses every hint like the dolt he is.
This winter, Crunchyroll will bring this rom-com masterpiece which will frustrate and tickle you in equal parts.
