Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Ep2 Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Takemichi learns the details of the horrific timeline he’s created in episode 1 of Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown, titled “It is what it is.” 

Kazutora saves Takemichi, and they make it out to a location safe from Kisaki, briefing him about the current state of Toman and what is going on in this timeline. Mikey, now completely corrupted and switched over, is calling out orders that are entirely unlike the Mikey they know. 

Moreover, Naoto meets up with Takemichi in an alleyway, which is not exactly a friendly get-together but more of an ambush and arrest. He shows him video evidence of what an evil gang’s top executive looks like; unfortunately, this time, it’s Takemichi himself.

Episode 2 Speculation  

Now that Takemichi is back in the past again, it’s time to change things properly. He has yet another attempt to save Hina’s life, with all his past attempts leading to more and more disaster, but he also learns more simultaneously. 

This time, Kisaki Tetta is a primary piece in the story as he is the consistent factor connecting to Hina’s death in all timelines. Especially since he called Takemichi “my hero” at the end of last season, there is a deeper story here, which will only be uncovered with time. 

Episode 2 Release Date 

Episode 2 of the Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown anime has been released on Saturday, Jan 14, 2023. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

No episode 2 of Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown is not on a break this week. The episode will be released on the above-stated date. 

Recap of Episode 1 

The episode gets to it right from the start as Kisaki Tetta holds Takemichi at gunpoint, being shot in the leg. However, Kazutora saves him now that he’s out of prison. He immediately begins beating Takemichi upright, pissed off at the current state of Toman. 

This timeline has been completely ruined with no turning back, with Toman past the point of no return and all its vital members in hopeless situations. They think back to the old Toman and why it was created in the first place. 

Kazutora says that Mikey has completely changed and is now purging out the old members of the gang, including Pah-chin and Peh-yan, recently murdered, now that he’s joined up with Black Dragon and been corrupted by Kisaki as well. Kazutora has researched this timeline and briefs everything Takemichi in the car. 

Takemichi learns that Kisaki gave the order to kill Hina. Since Takemichi was a top executive of Toman, he wasn’t present at the time since he was at the same meeting that Kisaki was using as his alibi. 

Takemichi eventually gets out to meet a mystery person in the alleyway, revealed to be Naoto. He is ambushed by the police agency and arrested for murder. He is presented with a video of Chifuyu showing a meeting with Takemichi, now one of the top brass of Toman, ordering Akkun to murder someone. 

Another video shows Takemichi in a flustered rage about being set up by Kisaki, not knowing he was supposed to kill her. Chifuyu was protecting him all this time, hiding the videos from Naoto, but now it’s all in the open. 

Takemichi falls to the floor in despair, responsible for Hina’s death and everyone else who died. Naoto comforts him as he cringes in pain at the current state of Toman and pleads him to go back once more and change this horrible timeline. 

Naoto deduces that there is a chance that Kisaki is the one who orders the death of Hina since he is the only consistent factor in every timeline. He takes his hand once more and decides to go back in time and do something about Kisaki. 

He ends up at the bowling alley with Hina, and shoots a stunning strike at the same time as the person next to his lane, revealed to be younger Hakkai Shiba.

Tokyo Revengers is a manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on March 1, 2017, and ended its run in November 2022. It is compiled into 31 tankobon volumes.
