The Tokyo Revengers live-action movie takes school gangs to the next level. While most middle schoolers worry about puppy crushes and exam grades, Tokyo Revengers’ middle schoolers worry about power and gang wars.
Don’t get me wrong; it is not all about angsty teens. It is the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, who has found a second chance to make things right in his life. A middle-aged man with no hope left for himself seizes the opportunity to save his only ex-girlfriend’s life!
Tokyo Revengers live-action movie will premiere on 9th July 2021. A brand-new trailer has been revealed for the film.
The trailer shows Takemichi’s adult stage when he died by being pushed onto train tracks. However, instead of dying, he was transported to his middle school days.
He is now burdened with the responsibility of saving his ex. Armed with the knowledge of the future, will he be able to avenge the death or change the future altogether?
The film’s theme song, I’ll Call Your Name by SUPER WEAVER, is previewed in the trailer. A new poster for the film was also revealed.
The visual shows Takemichi as the central character, and members of the Tokyo Maji gang are in the background. It may not look like it, but some of these characters are actually middle schoolers.
