Tokyo Revengers Episode 17: Release Date, Speculation And Watch Online

Episode 16 showed us the tragic incident that took away Mikey’s brother from him, ultimately resulting in Kazutora splitting up from Toman.

Now that Kazotora has been released, Baji returned to his former crime partner, intending to crush Toman. Can Takemichi convince Baji to come back to Toman? We bring you the latest episode updates of this anime.

Episode 17 Preview & Speculation

Episode 17 of Tokyo Revengers is titled “No Way,” which hints that Takemichi will fail in his mission to bring Baji back from Valhalla. The backstory revealed in the previous episode more or less confirms that Baji was always on Kazutora’s side.

Despite getting beaten by pretty bad, Chifuyu Matsuno looks a lot confident in the preview. I think he believes that Baji did not join Valhalla but rather infiltrated it.

Episode 17 of Tokyo Revengers will be released as per schedule. No such delay has been announced.

Episode 16 Recap

1. A Ride to the Beach

Episode 16 continues with flashbacks of the day when Toman was inaugurated. The six founding members were riding towards the beach on their motorcycles.

All of them were pretty annoyed at Mikey for riding a moped instead of switching to a motorcycle already. They ended up confronting a group of high schoolers who bullied them for riding a moped.

They even warned Mikey that they would trash the moped if they see it again. However, Mikey and others paid no heed to those warnings and ignored them.

Halfway on their journey, Mikey figures out that his moped is out of gas. So, he sends Baji to the nearby gas station while others head to the beach.

2. Things Precious to Mikey

To Baji’s surprise, he comes across those bully high schoolers again, and this time they didn’t spare him. They went on to beat Baji into a pulp and even tried to trash Mikey’s moped.

Baji was trying his best to protect the moped when Mikey himself appeared and trashed his mope himself. He bluntly claimed that the only thing precious to him here is Baji.

The heated-up argument was followed by a brawl between Toman and the high school gang, and from that onwards, Mikey came to be known as ‘Invincible.’

3. A Birthday Surprise for Mikey

Mikey’s resolve towards his gang members touches everyone, especially Kazutora and Baji. They decided to gift Mikey a brand-new motorcycle to Mikey on his birthday.

Well, they couldn’t have afforded to buy one themselves, so they made a plan to steal one from a showroom. Baji was initially reluctant with this idea but ended up playing along anyways.

The plan was to break into a bike store at midnight, hoping that the bike would have some gas left it. The alarm takes atleast 15 minutes to activate, giving them enough time to break the chains and escape with the motorbike.

4. Everything Went Wrong

But things didn’t go as planned, and the store’s owner happened to be present there, who caught them red-handed. Surprisingly, the store owner turned out to be none other than Shinichiro-kun.

Meanwhile, Kazutora sneaked in from behind and took Shinichiro down with his wire-cutter. Little did he know that Shinichiro is actually Mikey’s older brother.

Kazutora was too late when he realized the situation; Shinichiro wasn’t breathing anymore, and the police had already arrived. Both of them ended up getting arrested for killing Mikey’s older brother.

All Mikey could go is staring helplessly at his brother, bleeding to his death, and his friends getting arrested for the crime. This is how Mikey’s ‘birthday surprise’ turned out to be his greatest tragedy.
