3. Episode 12 Recap
I.Takemichi and Hinata’s Reunion
In Episode 12, Naoto drives Takemichi to Hinata’s residence for their long-awaited reunion after 12 years. However, Takemichi bakes out at the final moment as he fails to summon up enough courage to face her.
Just as he was about to leave, he meets Hinata at the doorstep. He has been holding on to his emotions till then but breaks down into tears of happiness on seeing that Hinata hasn’t changed in all these years.
Naoto takes them out on a drive to lighten the situation a bit but leaves them alone after receiving a call from his workplace. She drives Takemichi to the place where she was dumped by the person she loved.
Unlike the watchers, it took Takemichi some time to guess that the ‘certain some’ whom Hinata is mentioning is none by Takemichi himself. Hinata may be the one to bump him in the previous timeline, but the past has changed.
II. Tragedy Comes Back
Takemichi rushes to the washroom to figure out the situation, where he comes across Hanma, the gang leader who fought Mikey in the previous arc. He looks disappointed in finding out that Takemichi isn’t in the car.
He senses the danger and immediately rushes towards Hinata’s car to save her. But sadly, he is late and witnesses Akkun’s van crashing on Hinata’s car before his eyes.
In his final moments, Akkun revealed that Toman is completely under Kiseki Tetta, and he had no other choice. Akkun’s final words clearly hint that Akkun is aware of Takemichi’s time travel ability.
Takemichi tries his best to save Hinata, but her legs were completely crushed. Finally, he confesses his love towards her, and Hinata pushes him away just before the car blasted into pieces.
Can Takemichi make everything right this time? We have to wait for the upcoming episode to find that out.
