Inupi says he doesn’t even need to ask. He’ll join because he chose Takemichi. We see a flashback of that fateful night when Coco brought a near-dead Takemichi to his shop. Inupi had asked Coco if he was happy, and he says he chose Mikey because it was like betting on the winning horse.
Coco tells Inupi that he chose a good person. As the flashback ends, Chifuyu hands Inupi the “Thousand Winters” t-shirt, and Inupi spits on it. He would never wear such a lame t-shirt.
