An official website was opened on Tokyo Bankai’s formation anniversary to announce that Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers will get an anime adaptation in 2021.
The website released a special PV drawn by Takemichi, Mikey, Draken, Field, Ichitora, and the original author Ken Wakui to commemorate the broadcasting decision.
The announcement declares that 19th June is the formation anniversary for Tokyo Manji Gang, a gang that is key to the story.
It also revealed that Tokyo Revengers would be on the cover of “Weekly Shonen Magazine” No. 30 that will be released on Wednesday, 24th June.
The official twitter account for the series also posted an illustration of the series.

About Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers is a manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1st March 2017. It is an ongoing manga that received its 17th compiled book volume on 15th May.
The story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki who learned that Tokyo Manji Gang had killed his only ex-girlfriend from back in middle school. After learning about the incident, Takemichi was pushed from the railway platform.
Landing on the tracks, he closed his eyes, accepting his death, but when he opened his eyes, he had time-leaped 12 into the past. Finding that he had traveled back to a time when he was dating Hinata Tachibana, he decides to infiltrate the Tokyo Manji Gang and climb the ranks to rewrite the future and prevent Hinata’s.
