Tokyo Aliens, a manga beloved by sci-fi fans, might have some pleasant news in store for you. After conquering manga rankings, the series is ready to take over your anime watch list as well.
A trusted source has reported that the Tokyo Aliens anime is currently under production. The studio and the author have not confirmed the news yet, so I do take this with a grain of salt.
This masterpiece by NAOE seemed like a nostalgic trip to the Men in Black series. Aliens inhabiting Earth, a secret police agency, and the unknowing public, all of these elements are gearing towards a super cool alien adventure series.
The protagonist, Akari Gunji, is just an innocent high schooler who never really wanted anything to do with aliens or secret police. Sadly, the guy must be on the top-ten list of people with bad luck because he will get roped into matters far beyond his understanding.
Everything is fun and games until he discovers that his father’s death nine years ago wasn’t an accident and was actually related to aliens.
The poor guy finds himself at a crossroads where he can either avenge his dad or go on with his everyday life. The anime adaptation will undoubtedly bring in some cool alien vs humans action scenes, and I’m all up for it.
I hope that the studio in charge of the series makes an announcement soon and puts us out of our misery while we wait for a confirmation.
