4. Recap of Chapter 78

Chapter 78, titled “The Red House (Part 3),” starts off with Kou taking Tsukasa’s help to rescue Nene from the cursed house.

Upon facing multiple obstacles directed only towards him and not Tsukasa, Kou persuades Tsukasa to tell him his most desired wish.

This cuts to a flashback showing Tsukasa’s past. We see Tsukasa playing and plucking some flowers to show his twin brother Amane.

As he gets back home with the flowers, he sees that there is a doctor at home. The doctor tells his parents that there is no chance of survival for Amane, and he will die really soon.

Tsukasa overhears this and is deeply affected by this as he loves his brother. The fact that his brother won’t live past another month does not sit well with him.

Cut to a few days later, everything is back to normal. Amane is feeling all better now. Even the doctors are surprised that he has got better. They consider it a miracle.

Tsukasa and Amane’s parents celebrate their 4th birthday with a lot of relief now that they don’t need to worry about Amane’s health. They do everything they can and have a great day.

During the celebration, Tsukasa jumps on Amane and asks him if he loves him, to which Amane says yes, and Tsukasa is content.

However, a few days later, Tsukasa is being called out from another room. When he arrives in the room, he sees a hole in the floor.

A voice comes out of nowhere, asking Tsukasa to give the compensation for the wish he was granted. Tsukasa readily goes into the hole, bidding farewell to Amane and his family without saying a thing.
