Everyone is riding the multiverse train nowadays, why should the anime industry stay behind? So, Yomiji Otono finally decided to make his twin novels, ‘Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e’ and ‘Kimi o Aishita Hitori no Boku e,’ into an anime.
At first, the novels might seem like cute high school romances, but in reality, it’s filled with multi-dimensional travel and more. Both stories have the same protagonist but with different lives in different worlds.
Films like this always have the best aesthetics and graphics, which can only be made better with a melodious soundtrack. Likewise, The staff for ‘Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e’ and ‘Kimi o Aishita Hitori no Boku e’ have provided some flawless tunes.
Toei Animation has shared two new music videos previewing the insert songs for the films debuting on October 7, 2022. The first video is for ‘Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e’ called ‘Rakka Ryūsui’ by Keina Suda.
The video features the protagonists Koyomi Takasaki and Kazune Takigawa. Koyomi and Kazune are classmates, and the latter reveals that she’s from World Line 85, where they are lovers.
Following this discovery, the two soon begin a relationship, and the video shows them getting married and growing old together. I guess you can say this is one advantage of traveling between worlds.
Next is the music video for ‘Kimi o Aishita Hitori no Boku e’ that previews the song “Summer Daydream” by Saucy Dog.
This video features the protagonists, Koyomi Hidaka and Shiori Satou, a couple who is not as lucky as the other pair. Koyomi, unlike his counterpart from the parallel world, doesn’t get to be with the love of his life.
In this world, Koyomi decided to stay with his father after his parents’ divorce, leading him to meet Shiori. She met Koyomi at his father’s research institute, and the two instantly fell in love.
However, fate had other plans when Koyomi’s father and Shiori’s mother remarried, resulting in the couple becoming step-siblings. The two decide to jump worlds to find one where they aren’t siblings and can be together.
Keina Suda and Saucy Dog are also responsible for the films’ theme songs and have done a brilliant job for that too.
I can’t wait to experience the two stories together with these artists’ phenomenal tracks and striking visuals.
