No matter how dark and serious an anime or manga is, it has to have a gag spin-off for fans who want to see their favorites in a fun setting. Without a doubt, Tokyo Revengers has one too, and it is called Todai Revengers.
It follows the protagonist Michitake Icho, Takemichi’s spoof, who is treated as an idiot and ridiculed even at his part-time job. The story features more parody characters like Monjiro Akagi for Mikey, Ken Daraji for Draken, and more.
This hilarious gag spin-off instantly became a hit among Tokyo Revengers fans, but now it’s time to wrap up.
The fifth volume of the gag parody spin-off manga, Todai Revengers, has revealed that the series will end in the sixth volume coming out on May 17, 2023.
Instead of the delinquent theme, Todai Revengers do the opposite and feature all the characters as university students. The most hilarious thing about it is how everyone wears glasses and seems like they’re on top of their class.
Time traveling is the only element that remains the same in both stories. In this series, Michitake also can travel through time, but he didn’t die to awaken this power.
Moreover, the love interest aspect remains the same, but in Todai Revengers, Yuki Hayase (Hina’s spoof) doesn’t die. Instead, Yuki gets married to someone else, and Michitake travels seven years in past to change it.
Todai Revengers is a pretty fun manga and a must-read if you’re looking to cool down after all the trauma inflicted by Tokyo Revengers.
It’s sad that this hilarious spin-off is ending, and I hope Wakui does more such pieces inspired by the main storyline.

The story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, who learned that Tokyo Manji Gang had killed his only ex-girlfriend from back in middle school. After learning about the incident, Takemichi was pushed from the railway platform.
Landing on the tracks, he closed his eyes, accepting his death, but when he opened his eyes, he had time-leaped 12 years into the past.
