In the second episode of To Your Eternity season 2, we see Fushi realize that the two doctors who defended him in the previous episode are Tonari and Sandel. Tonari passing away in this episode makes me wonder how much more of an emotional rollercoaster this show will be.

In the next episode of To Your Eternity, titled ‘The Awaited’, we will learn more about the first male successor, Kahaku, and his role in Fushi’s journey as he spends his next days with him.
In the preview, we see a strange prince capture Fushi, so in the next episode, we can see what he wants with Fushi and who he is.

Episode 2 Recap
The Nokker defends itself as Tonari tries to take it off Hisame’s arm. Tonari poisons Hisame, but the Nokker can infect Tonari and make her unconscious. When Fushi awakens the following morning, he visits a bedridden Tonari, who the Nokker has afflicted. Sandel is unable to do anything to save her.
Tonari asks Fushi to show her every friend he has met thus far. He becomes aware that Tonari and Sandel haven’t passed away since Fushi continues to take the forms of all his companions. Sandel bids Fushi farewell after Tonari subsequently passes away. He opts not to disclose his identity.
Later, after she dies, Fushi changes into Tonari and discovers her and Sandel’s identities by looking through her diary. Fushi resolves to attempt to meet someone who might understand him in response to one of Tonari’s last demands.
He meets Hisame again at this point, who is gravely ill. Fushi decides to take care of her. That evening, Hisame clarifies that her goal—like Hayase’s—is to give birth to Fushi’s child. She tells him they must ‘sleep together,’ and they sleep next to each other, thinking that’s how she would get pregnant.
The Beholder explains to Fushi how he may reproduce if he wants to. Fushi refuses because he doesn’t know how one reproduces. He hands Hisame back to the Guardians.
Later, Fushi decides to relocate to a nearby town where he uses his skills to lead a happy life. Fushi stipulates that he would only stay in each village for around two days before moving on to the next one to avoid encountering the Nokkers.
He encounters numerous further Hayase reincarnations on his travels. However, they leave after getting scared whenever Fushi turns into Tonari. Eventually, the first male successor of the Guardians, Kahaku, introduces himself to Fushi.
About To Your Eternity
To Your Eternity(Fumetsu no Anata e) is a manga series by Yoshitoki Oima. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2016. Crunchyroll releases its manga in English. It is being adapted into an anime by Studio Brain’s Base and will be released on April 12th.
The story follows an immortal being named Fushi whose purpose is to gain knowledge of the world. He travels from Kingdom to Kingdom and witnesses humans displaying their emotions. As the story progresses, this being takes the form of an abandoned boy and his wolf.
