Prince Bon was about to be tried by the Church of Bennett when Cylira notified him of his trial. At this point, Bon became aware of the presence of a second prisoner, a young boy named Chabo—who was being held for bread theft.

His mother was taken from him. Bon knows she is dead because of his ability to see her spirit, but Chabo does not believe him when Bon tells him.

As Prince Bon demonstrated his ability to communicate with spirits, the Church of Bennett started Prince Bon’s trials. The Church believed that the Devil was responsible for his power, not God.

Bon, Chabo and Todo shared a single slice of bread at the supper while the latter gave Chabo half of hers. He was reserving half of his portion for his mother, whom he thought was still alive.

Fushi, who the molten iron had hardened, was beginning to regain awareness. He was eventually able to duplicate the heat from the molten iron. He was able to force himself out of the prison since his regeneration abilities began to outpace the molten iron.

Fushi managed to flee even though the Church of Bennett thought they had managed to stop him, and then he went to save Bon and Todo. The prince explained to Fushi how the Church would continue interfering with his realm if he escaped, but he refused to be saved. He, therefore, desired to avoid the trial altogether.

As he fled with Chabo and Todo, Fushi nodded and left replicas of their bodies to give the impression that they had passed away. Bon revealed Fushi to be a tool of the Devil. But because he declared his love for him, he received a death sentence.

Prince Bon gives his life to everyone, including the people of the Uralis Kingdom, his family, and Fushi, and thinks of them as he is executed.
