Episode 16 Preview & Speculation
In the preview, the children are seen sharing their dreams with Fushi. All of them want to get out of this hell-like island and settle elsewhere peacefully.
We get to see flashbacks of Tonari’s early life when she had a family. However, all her dreams shattered when her father got arrested for crimes too graphic to explain, in case my family is reading.
Later, Fushi heads towards the fighting arena to face the final opponent that stands in his way of becoming the ruler of the island. Once he wins the fight, he uses his authority to free Pioran from confinement.

1. Tonari’s Change of Heart
In Episode 15, Tonari regrets bringing Fushi to this island and taking away someone precious to them. She realizes that it’s human nature to treasure those close to them even when they are wrong.
She remembers how he abandoned all her feeling towards her father when he was found guilty of some scary crimes. So, she decides to compensate for her past mistake by helping Fushi to find Pioran.
Later, Fushi heads on to the fighting arena for Roud 3 of the gladiator fight, where he restrained from killing his opponent. The audience gets annoyed at this act of kindness and attempts to kill the losing candidate.
2. Return of Knockers
Fushi was wrapping up after a tiresome fight when the creator appears before him and warns him about the return of knockers. Before Fushi could react, it takes away Gugu’s form from him.
With Gugu taken away, Fushi doesn’t have any useful transformation left. So, he asks Tonari and others to run away, and decides to take on the gigantic rock monster alone.
However, his plan of sneaking in through the cracks turns out to be a huge failure. Thankfully, Tonari and the villagers fight alongside Fushi to destroy the monster.
With an unlimited supply of explosive arrows, the monster is easily turned into ashes. Fushi gets back the lost memories of Gugu and March that he holds precious.

To Your Eternity(Fumetsu no Anata e) is a manga series by Yoshitoki Oima. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2016. Crunchyroll releases its manga in English. It is being adapted into an anime by Studio Brain’s Base and will be released on April 12th.
The story follows an immortal being named Fushi whose purpose is to gain knowledge of the world. He travels from Kingdom to Kingdom and witnesses humans displaying their emotions. As the story progresses, this being takes the form of an abandoned boy and his wolf.
