After the announcement, Reiji Kawashima, the voice of Fushi, commented he is thankful for everyone who watched the first season while also apologizing for making everyone cry. He is also grateful for all his colleagues and is looking forward to voicing Fushi in season two.
Kenjiro Tsuda, who voices the Beholder, also expressed gratefulness to the audience and his excitement for the upcoming season.
Regarding the upcoming anime, the mangaka Yoshitoki Oima has stated that “Fushi will change into an existence that will influence others.” So, we can accept that the “adult” Fushi to be more proactive and wise.
Season two will start after a forty-year time skip and follow the “adult” Fushi, who lives a relatively peaceful life alone on an uninhabited island. But the quiet times come to an abrupt end after Nookers attack him.
Forced to leave the island he called home, the immortal being sets out on a journey full of friendships, action, and a bucket load of sorrow.
The upcoming season in fall 2022 already has us hyped, so don’t miss out.
