Snowpiercer Season 3 Trailer Promises a Future Beyond the Train

TNT has just dropped a new trailer for Snowpiercer Season 3 ahead of its premiere later this month. There’s a lot happening in the 2-minute clip, including new signs of hope and a new survivor onboard.

The trailer begins with an announcement as the speaker echoes, informing citizens of Snowpiercer that some places on the Earth are warming, including New Eden, and they might have a say in choosing the destination.

There’s a new member on board—the survivor who messaged Snowpiercer is Asha, who survived eight years out in the cold. So is this a glimpse of hope or something more than they bargained for? (The name “Asha” literally means hope in Sanskrit.)

Still, Melanie’s sacrifice paid off as they finally got a map. If Asha can survive for so long, is it possible that Melanie is out there somewhere, too?

Oh, and there’s a baby on board, too, as Zarah is seen sitting in a bathtub with her pregnant belly poking out, and the father is confirmed to be Layton.

However, Mr. Wilford is here to crush hope any chance he gets. The eccentric billionaire and creator of Snowpiercer calls hope an “empty promise” and is totally fine with keeping everyone “as alive as possible” even if it costs them a limb or two.

We also see the tension rise as Layton and his crew prepare to give Mr. Wilford a “surprise” while also being determined to find Melanie and a warm location to restart civilization outside the train.

The trailer promises hope in all its forms as fans are more than hopeful that Season 3 will be just as thrilling as the previous ones.

The synopsis for Season 3 mentions that the series will pick up where Season 2 left off as Josie destroyed the Aquarium car, separating Snowpiercer’s head from the remaining 1,023 cars. Layton and Ruth return to Snowpiercer with the help of Javier and Alexandra after being banished.

Season three picks up with Layton and his inner circle commanding a small 10 car “pirate train” in search of Melanie and a possible warm location to restart civilization; while back on Snowpiercer, Mr. Wilford is consolidating power, awaiting Layton’s return.

Snowpiercer premieres on January 24, 2022, at 9 pm E.T.
