TKO Studios has dropped another trio of limited edition titles that promise to be must-haves for any comic fan anywhere. Self-contained, limited edition, single-issue titles from acclaimed creators, the trio comprises River of Sin, Roofstompers, and The Walk.
The storylines are as diverse as the artwork and in this day and age of gravitating more and more towards video, these comics truly are a treat to actually hold and touch.
A quick summary of the trio is as follows
River of Sin, as the name suggests, has a fairly sinister premise. Children are being found dead and mutilated in the woods. Alonso – the protagonist- is afraid this may well be the fate of his missing daughter.
He and other grieving parents decide to take matters into their own hands in their desperate search for answers. Is there a dark and sinister secret among the townsfolk or could it be the blood-thirsty Bruja. You will have to get your hands on River of Sin by Kelly Williams and Chas! Pangburn to figure it out.
Roofstompers tracks the pressures of being a surgeon in New York city and the attempt to break out of it. Cassie, the surgeon decides to go on a solo hunting trip to Wyoming. She is attacked and rescued by a couple living in an isolated cabin with their son.
When weeks after being taken in, she is getting no better from the attack wounds, she begins wondering about her hosts and their dismissal of nightly visits of what they call Roofstompers. Get your hands on Alex Paknadel and Ian MacEwan’s eerie thriller.
In Michael Moreci and Jesús Hervás’ The Walk, the action all takes places at the bottom of the ocean. The floor of the Atlantic Ocean to be specific. At 2000 meters below, at the Midnight Zone, their supplies start running out prompting a dangerous quest for survival. Their tribulations lead to discovering that the ocean is far more vast, mysterious and unfortunately darker, than they could possibly have imagined.
All of these limited edition titles are available at participating comic stores, which if you can’t get to, you can get them off of TKO’s website from June 1st onwards.
