Tulsa King’s season 1 finale saw Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) in handcuffs in front of his daughter. However, this time Dwight was not the one with the lion’s share of the blame. His girlfriend Stacy betrayed him to save her job at the ATF.
It will be challenging for Dwight to take control of the external affairs from prison. His daughter can be his best accomplice in season 2.
Tina was very cynical about her father at the beginning of season 1. That’s understandable, given their tumultuous pasts and her lack of faith in Dwight’s illegal activities. But Tina eventually gives in and even brings her kids to meet their grandfather.
Thus, it makes sense for Tina to support her father and stick around to seek justice. Tina’s sticking around would not be good news for Stacy, as she will have one more enemy to take care of.
Tina and Dwight started the series as strangers. Despite Dwight’s constant attempts to reconcile with her, Tina never reciprocated. It was only after the death of Dwight’s younger brother that they finally spoke.
Tina told Dwight about her encounter with Nico, and that exchange brought them closer to one another. Although Dwight’s altercation with Nico jeopardized their safety, it brought the father-daughter duo closer.
Season 1 concluded with Tina finally agreeing to come to Tulsa to stay with her father. It hints at the fact that she will have a big role to play in season 2.
Tina’s staying makes even more sense because the safety of her kids is at stake. While Dwight is in jail, there is no one to stop Chickie from harming her family. Thus, Tina should try her best to get her father out of prison as soon as possible.
Also, there needs to be someone to take care of the new bar/casino Dwight opened just before going to prison.
Season 2 of Tulsa King could develop the father-daughter dynamic between Dwight and Tina even more. Since Stacey is responsible for Dwight’s arrest, a possible rivalry between the two female leads could be in the cards too.
Losing her father once was very traumatic for her. She would surely not like to go through it again!
