Summary:
- Helldivers 2 has called back three of its achievements which means players won’t be able to unlock them anymore.
- Bot Scrapper was the most widely unlocked trophy before being revoked.
- In Helldivers 2, players’ armors will get progressively dirtier as they survive more and more missions.
Helldivers 2 has 38 achievements, out of which some are tied to Automatons. The High Command recently authorized the complete termination of Automatons when a Major Order called Operation Swift Disassembly was issued in March. Now that players are at work, a new fact has come to light.
The community managed to complete the Major Order in early April. After which, Arrowhead headed over to Twitter to announce that “the galaxy is free once more”. However, some players noticed that some PS5 trophies and Steam achievements are now impossible to unlock.
Automatons can no longer be fought. So, gamers can not complete “Let’s call it a draw”, “Bot Scrapper” and “Nothing is bigger than Freedom” anymore. All these require engaging with some type of deadly cyborgs. The most popular trophy which was retired is “Bot Scrapper”. It was given to those who played any Bot Mission.
Helldivers 2 also released an update which added some new content including two new Automatons– Gunships and Factory Striders. However, since the mission has concluded, it is now time to kick out the Terminid enemies out of the ongoing War.
Another interesting change is that the post-match screen shows your armor complete with the bloody mess as a result of the gory battle. It also builds up so if you play multiple missions, your armor gets progressively dirtier.
Helldivers 2 recently celebrated its two-month anniversary on April 8th. Most probably, developers won’t call back its platinum trophy this early. However, the team could bring back Automatons in the near future. So, make sure to keep an eye out!
