This Is Us Season 6 Episode 5 Speculation
Episode 5 was a standalone episode that took us with Jack back to Ohio where his mother went to live after separating from Stanley. As Jack “ties up a lifetime’s worth of loose ends”, we discover the complicated layers of Jack’s personality. It is only fitting that the next episode will peel off the ones that make up his wife Rebecca.
In the teaser, we see a scene from the past where Rebecca and Miguel are still friends. Miguel suggests speed dating and while Rebecca is horrified at the idea of going on 15 dates at once, she decides to give it a try. How does the night go?

Chapter 5 of the This Is Us Season 6 series, titled “Heart and Soul”, has been released on Tuesday, Feb 01, 2022 at 6:00 pm PDT.

This Is Us Season 6 Episode 4 Recap
The episode starts with a flashback of Jack’s childhood and cuts to Rebecca helping Jack pack for his trip to Ohio for his mother’s funeral. He’s still trying to process the loss of his mother, with whom he had a special relationship. He insists on going to Ohio alone as he’ll have a lot of responsibilities for arranging the funeral.
He arrives and Debbie gives him an earful for not visiting more often. As it turns out, Marylin had already made all the arrangements for her funeral in advance. Debbie suggests that Jack make a eulogy in her honor and also pick her burial dress. Jack learns about his mother’s boyfriend, Mike and he goes to deliver his mother’s cat to him. Mike shows Jack pictures of him and Marylin, looking happy, a side of her he never saw when she was with his abusive father, Stanley.
After having a few too many drinks, Jack calls his father and tells her his mother had passed away. Debbie gets upset with Jack when he tells her about this the next morning, the both of them feel anxious about Stanley showing up to the funeral. Still struggling with making any progress on the eulogy, Jack calls Rebecca. He tells her he feels bad about the fact that they never took the skating trip.
The funeral begins with Debbie’s poem. When it is Jack’s turn to deliver the eulogy, he starts to stumble but regains his confidence when Rebecca and the kids walk through the church doors to support him. The family gets back home and Jack makes the comfort meal his mother used to make for him, hot dogs and tomato soup.

This Is Us is a Dan Fogelman-created American drama television series that debuted on NBC on September 20, 2016. On October 27, 2020, the fifth season will premiere. It was announced in May 2021 that the sixth season would be the series’ final.
The tv series follows the lives of three siblings, Kevin, Kate, and Randall (nicknamed the “Big Three”), along with their parents, Jack and Rebecca Pearson. It takes place primarily in the current time and employs flashbacks to illustrate their personal past.
Most episodes feature a storyline set in the present (2016–2021) and a storyline set at a particular time in the past; even so, some episodes are set in only one time period or use multiple flashback time periods. Flashbacks frequently centre on Jack and Rebecca in 1980, both before and after the birth of their children, or on the family when the Big Three are still children or adolescents (and played by two sets of younger actors).
