Give it up for the Peacock network for trying so hard make a difficult year easier on all of us!
The good old guys at NBC have decided to bring out the latest season of family romance drama This Is Us two weeks earlier than planned.
Set to premiere on November 10, the fifth season of the acclaimed and award-winning NBC show will now premiere on October 27.
No, you aren’t the only ones wondering if the decision has anything to do with the Presidential Elections, given that the season’s premiere is a good number of days ahead of the momentous day. (But there is no official or co conspiratorial confirmation yet, so moving on!)
What’s more is the preponed premiere will still keep up the promise of the earlier announcement and kick off season 5 with a pair of episodes on Tuesday, October 27, at 9 pm.
The network announced the change of date via a commercial that aired during the season finale of America’s Got Talent.

Production on season five of This Is Us is expected to pick up this week. The show has already been renewed for a sixth season which will not be premiering before 2021-22.
