The horror series ‘Dark Gathering’ is bringing Halloween very early this year, as only some weeks are left until it debuts. The story of the series revolves around Keitarou and Yayoi. With their bizarre relationship, Keitarou gets stuck with Yayoi, a mysterious girl looking for her mother after being kidnapped by a ghost.
“Dark Gathering” balances many genres with confidence backed by a strong cast, and this is further heightened by a wonderfully ghoulish artistic direction with many unique and traditionally inspired evil entities. It’s no wonder the hype surrounding the series has skyrocketed.
On Friday, the official website for Kenichi Kond’s Dark Gathering television anime began broadcasting the show’s third promotional video. The video reveals and previews “Kakuriyo” (Afterlife), Luz’s opening theme song. The anime will also begin streaming on July 10 only on HIDIVE.
In the latest key visual, we see our four main protagonists, and if you look closely at the water, you can see all the ghosts they will be facing.

The series is still in its early phases, and there is always the risk that it may divert in some manner. Still, it is an excellent beginning for a popular manga of the same name and one worth checking out, especially for those who prefer horror-themed shonen titles.
About Dark Gathering
Dark Gathering is a manga series by Kenichi Kondo that will receive an anime in 2023. It was first published in 2019.
The manga’s protagonist is Keitaro, who attracts spirits wherever he goes. Lots of tragedies happen around him for this reason which causes him to isolate himself.
Just as he starts coming out of his shell, he meets Yayoi who follows ghosts to hunt them. Keitaro is roped into her adventures and they become partners.
