Amazon Prime Video’s new series, The Wilds, has got the nod to produce a second season. The first season, which was released earlier this month, has received generally positive reactions from both critics and viewers, with the acting by the young cast being praised by both the groups.
The ten-episode season followed a group of young girls whose plane crashes on a deserted island. With no immediate plans of rescue, the castaways bond with each other and slowly discover the secrets they hold and the traumas they have experienced. What they do not know is that they did not end up on the island by accident.
The Wilds was filmed in New Zealand and if the second season takes place in the same setting, the production for season two might start very soon. However, no official date has been announced regarding the filming of the second season.
The regular cast is scheduled to return in the new season. It includes Sophia Ali, Shannon Berry, Jenna Clause, Reign Edwards, Mia Healey, Helena Howard, Erana James, Sarah Pidgeon, David Sullivan and Troy Winbush.
