This Sunday, The White Lotus finished season 2 with a shocking twist after the finale revealed that series favorite Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya was the corpse Daphne found. Mike White had us all scammed, while Greg was the only survivor from last season and the one who got the happiest ending.
The finale featured the Spiller-Sullivan swinging couples finally venting their insecurities and moving on, Portia and Albie rekindling their relationship, and the grand reveal of Greg’s plan to get rid of his wife for all the money he’d married her for. So, what does that mean for Season 3?
Season 3 Speculation
Mike White may have considered bringing Jennifer Coolidge back as a recurring White Lotus visitor in previous interviews. But after the season 2 finale, we fear Greg will be the only recurring character in the series.
Tanya’s death was a little more predictable as the episode went on, but the way she went down, literally, was definitely unexpected. The only sure thing about season 3 is now up for questions again – the only way Tanya could come back from the dead is if she were to haunt Greg.
In regular White Lotus fashion, Mike White will surely bring a new location and ensemble of cast members when HBO premieres season 3. So, there’s not much we can guess at this point, but we hope to see the same, if not raised, level of drama in the next season.
Is There a Season 3? Season 3 Release Date
The show was renewed for season 3 in November 2022, so we’ll definitely get another season of The White Lotus. No release date, plot, or cast has yet been confirmed for season 3.

Episode 7 Recap
Ethan remains haunted by his visions of Harper and Cameron, while Portia and Tanya both begin to realize Quentin and Jack’s intentions. Albie asks Lucia to move to LA with him to save her from her debt, but after being turned down, he negotiates a deal with his father. Dominic will transfer a fortune to Lucia in exchange for Albie solving his marital problems with Abby.
Ethan confronts Harper, and his wife admits a drunken kiss passed between her and Cameron, but Ethan believes this is only a half-truth. He hunts Cameron down and almost drowns him in a fury, settling for a punch when pulled away. Portia and Tanya finally connect on a call and spill their sides of the story, driving Tanya to realize Quentin and Greg are in cahoots.
Daphne consoles a saddened Ethan, who later makes up with Harper in a final night of passion at The White Lotus – after Ethan probably did it with Daphne. So, do we have two new swinging couples on board?
Tanya finds a gun intended as her murder weapon and kills the gay crew in a frenzied sobbing session as she realizes her husband’s cruelty. While she tried to escape in a dinghy, she slipped and hit her head on the railing, thus dying and drowning in the ocean.
Daphne finds the body, leading to the further discovery of other dead bodies in the nearby yacht. Portia and Albie bump into each other and exchange numbers after Lucia and Jack ditch them. Lucia and Mia celebrate their new money and job with Alessio, who was in on Lucia’s scam to screw over Albie and Dominic.
