The Wheel of Time Season 1 Episode 6 Speculation
Perrin’s wolf nature had to be the biggest reveal of Episode 6. Captured and tortured by the Whitecloaks, Perrin begins to show advanced signs of being a wolfbrother. His eyes can change color and he can now growl, too. In earlier episodes, we only saw him sensing the wolves in his dreams. How far will the wolf connection go and how will Perrin control it?
Perrin is not alone in struggling with his special side. Mat, accompanied by Rand, reaches the Tar Valon only to make eye contact with Logain as the latter is being paraded by the Aes Sedai. Logain is ecstatic to recognize the dark side in Mat and Mat’s condition only gets worse since then. He even snaps at Nynaeve when she tries to heal him. What’s next for Mat now that Rand has promised to not let him be Gentled even though it seems like the only way out?
Meanwhile, Nynaeve’s powers have made her a target of the Aes Sedai who want to recruit her to their respective Ajahs, especially the Red one. Liandrin tries to recruit Nynaeve throughout the episode even though Nynaeve gravitates strongly towards empathy and healing. In fact, Nynaeve doesn’t completely trust the Aes Sedai. Will she choose to engage with the Aes Sedai or will Moiraine succeed in protecting her?
Speaking of Moiraine, we learn that she may be under considerable threat even in the White Tower. Alanna has warned her against Liandrin and the Amerlyn Seat only to be shrugged off in return. What makes Moiraine so confident? How big are these threats?
Find out in the next episode.

The Wheel of Time Season 1 Episode 5 Recap
Moiraine and the other Aes Sedai finally make it to Tar Valon with a gentled Logain. Perrin and Egwene were also about to reach the White Tower when they are captured by the White Cloaks. While in captivity, both Egwene and Perrin channel the One’s power and escape. Perrin is revealed to have hidden connection to the wolves who help them escape by attacking the Whitecloaks and indicating the path ahead.
Despite reaching first, Rand and Mat do not make their presence known to the Aes Sedai. Mat is still devastated at the possibility of having killed the farmers and their daughter. Mat’s condition continues to worsen after he makes eye contact with Logain. He makes Rand promise him that he won’t let him go mad, aka Gentled by the Aes Sedai.
Nynaeve reassures Rand that Egwene and Perrin are still alive. Alanna warns Moiraine of Liandrin’s motives. Stepin, Kerene’s warder, kills himself after being overcome with grief. He slips sedative herbs into Lan’s drink the previous night. Lan is devastated to find his lifeless body next morning and blames himself.
