The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash is one such story where survival becomes a priority. An anime adaptation for the series was announced last year and now, more details have been revealed.
On Wednesday, the official website for the The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash revealed its first trailer with a new visual. The video reveals the main cast, staff, and opening theme song. The anime is planned for release in 2024.[1]
In the trailer, we get to have a first look at the anime. Ivy is loved and cared for by her family. However, things around Ivy change when she is found to be starless. Looked down upon by everyone, she runs away and encounters a slime, Sora.
The two become friends and rummage through destroyed goods or trash to find anything valuable. Their bond only grows stronger as they grow up.

Another anime from the same genre, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, did not disappoint at all. Assuming the presentation and the narrative would be similar, this could be fun to watch.

‘The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash’ is a Japanese light novel series written by Honobonoru500 and illustrated by Nama.
The serialization of the web novel began in August 2018 on Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Tou Fukino illustrated the manga in February 2020. A television anime series produced by Studio Massket will air in January 2024.
Ivy’s life comes crashing down when she is declared “starless” because, without stars, she can’t use her Tamer skill to control even the smallest creatures. She decides to flee into the forest, where she meets Sora, a slime she can tame. Together, they start scavenging through other people’s trash to improve their lives.
