The Unwanted Undead Adventurer Ep 2 Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 1 of ‘The Unwanted Undead Adventurer’ is titled “Unwanted Undead.” In this episode, Rentt Faina wanders down a mysterious passageway. 

The secret passageway has been entirely unexplored, making it extremely dangerous. However, Rentt is brave enough to walk through it alone. At the end of the path, a colossal dragon lies in wait for food. Rentt stands frozen in fear while the dragon kills him.

However, Rentt wakes up in the form of a skeleton. The dragon is nowhere to be found as Rentt learns about his new body.

1. Episode 2 Release Date

Episode 2 of ‘The Unwanted Undead Adventurer’ will be released on Friday, January 12, 2024. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Friday. You can watch ‘The Unwanted Undead Adventurer’ anime on Crunchyroll.

‘The Unwanted Undead Adventurer’ is not on a break this week. Episode 2 has not been delayed and will be released on the above-stated date.

2. Episode 2 Speculation

Rentt has used the theory of Existential Evolution and reached ghoul form. However, this may be the first step to Rentt’s growth as an adventurer. As a human, Rentt could never go beyond bronze rank strength. With his new undead form, Rentt will be able to grow much stronger.

A new adventurer girl was mentioned to be going to the Labyrinth. The girl will likely encounter Rentt and assume he is an average ghoul. Rentt will try to communicate with her, but he may not be understood. Eventually, the girl may realize the ghoul does not want to harm her.

With the girl’s help, Rentt can try returning to the village. Regardless, Rentt may be captured due to his ghoulish form. The priests will exorcise him unless Rentt can prove a sane human brain.

3. Recap of Episode 1

Rentt stands still, completely stunned, as he looks into the eyes of a huge blue dragon. The dragon flaps its wings and roars before charging towards Rentt. After some time, Rentt wakes up in an empty cave and looks in the water. However, Rentt finds a skeleton looking back at him instead.

Rentt was just an average bronze level adventurer that took standard missions. However, Rentt had spotted a secret passageway in Labyrinth of the Moon’s Reflection. Despite the enormous risks, Rentt wandered down the path alone and encountered a colossal beast.

After turning into a skeleton, Rentt realizes he is now an undead monster. He thinks of returning to the town, which could cause his exorcism. He wanders the Labyrinth and finds multiple other monsters. He also sees another skeleton walking around and charges toward it. However, both of them collapse, struggling to run as skeletons.

Rentt charges his spirit energy to give him strength and swings the sword. The skeleton dies, and the energy flows into Rentt. He remembers the monsters’ trait of Existential Evolution that makes them more potent over time. 

Rentt walks through the halls of the Labyrinth and kills multiple monsters to take their energy. A slime covers one of the hallways, and Rentt attacks it. After recovering the slime’s acid, Rentt decides to take some rest. The guild had sent another newbie adventurer to the Labyrinth since it is a low-level area.

Meanwhile, Rentt decides to focus on killing monsters to achieve Existential Evolution. Throughout Rentt’s human years, he trained and focused on becoming a Mithril-class adventurer. Even after turning into a skeleton, Rentt did not give up on his dream. He started to grow.

A little amount of flesh covers his body as Rentt evolves into a ghoul. However, Rentt must still learn to talk and communicate properly before returning to the village.

‘The Unwanted Undead Adventurer’ (Nozomanu Fushi no Bōkensha) is a light novel series written by Yū Okano and illustrated by Jaian. It was launched on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in September 2016. Overlap acquired the novel and is publishing it since October 2017.

Rentt Faina is an adventurer with a decade of experience but is stuck to a lower rank because of a lack of innate talent. One day, while exploring a dungeon, he encounters a dragon who eats him. He survives but now exists as a skeleton. Rentt now seeks to physically ‘evolve’ by fighting and absorbing magic.
