People have always loved the overpowered female characters in Shounen and other action anime. This is especially true because these characters shine in a place that is usually dominated by men, which is really empowering for both male and female fans, as it sends the message that anyone can shine in any field regardless of trivial societal norms. Solo Leveling is one of those anime that has a ton of powerful male hunters but very few female hunters who actually reach the S-rank. This is the very reason why these powerful women deserve to have a spotlight of their own.
In this article, we’ll introduce you to the most powerful female characters in Solo Leveling. We’ll also mention their affiliations, strengths, and when they will appear in the series. Some of these characters may have been previously introduced, but a large number of them are yet to be introduced in the anime, so we ask you to proceed cautiously to avoid unnecessary spoilers.
8 Lee Johee (Eri Mizuki)

Lee Joohee (Eri Mizuki) is a B-rank hunter who was initially introduced in the anime as one of Jinwoo’s old friends. She is a young woman with blue eyes and long hair, and she is an extremely skilled B-rank healer. She is a very kind and compassionate woman and has helped Jinwoo out several times during his E-rank hunter period.
Despite being a B-rank hunter, Joohee is terrified of entering any dungeon that’s above C-rank. This could be a fear coming from the fact that she has no offensive skills to protect herself in an event where she’s attacked. If it weren’t for her fear, she would be a far more dependable hunter, as she could take on more A-rank gates, where her healing and buffing power would prove to be handy.
7 Park Heejin

Park Heejin is a B-rank hunter from the famous White Tiger Guild. She is a young woman with pretty green eyes and long black hair. She is known to be one of the five survivors of the Red Gate incident that killed several A and B ranks hunters of the White Tiger Guild.
Park Heejin’s abilities haven’t been revealed in the series yet. However, she is known to have a keen intellect and is the only one who realized that Jinwoo was at least as powerful as an A-rank hunter with just a glance. These sharp instincts of hers must have culminated during her time in the White Tiger Guild. The very fact that she belongs to this guild is a testament to her strength.
6 Yoo Soohyun
Yoo Soohyun is a popular model and actress who has also climbed up to the ranks of an A-rank hunter. Her role in the series is pretty interesting, as she is the cousin of Jinho, who is Jinwoo’s subordinate. She is also the only other member of the Ahjin Guild.

Yoo Soohyun’s membership in the Ahjin Guild is only for namesake, as ninety percent of the guild’s strength comes from Jinwoo alone. Regardless, her skills as a hunter are no joke! She quit her job as a hunter due to a bad experience she had in a gate, where the use of her power almost killed her allies. With that, she decided to stop working as a hunter and gave her all to acting and modeling until she was scouted by the Ahjin Guild.
5 Akari Shimizu
Akari Shimizu is an S-rank hunter from Japan and a member of the Draw Sword Guild. She is a very skilled healer and an asset to their guild. She made her appearance in the story during the Jeju Island arc, where she saved the day by healing a lot of fatal injuries.

Unfortunately, Akari was killed by the Ant King during the 4th Jeju Island raid, which contributed to the many losses Japan faced during the fight. Akari was a genius as a hunter, as she rose to the highest ranks just 2 years after her awakening.
4 Mari Ishida
Mari Ishida is another one of the S-rank Hunters from The Draw Sword Guild in Japan. Like Akari, she, too, participated in the 4th Jeju Island raid. She is a short young woman with brown eyes and short hair who is a team player who cares a lot for her guildmates.

Mari Ishida contributed a lot to the battles during the 4th Jeju Island raid. Anyone who has read the manhwa knows how depressing the Jeju Island arc was for humans. Like Akari, Mari, too, lost her life to the Ant King and contributed to the heap of human corpses that were produced during the raid.
3 Kanae Tawata
Kanae Tawata is also an S-rank hunter from the Draw Sword Guild in Japan. She is a tall young woman with long black hair and cold eyes. She has quite a serious personality compared to her allies, but she is just as compassionate as any other person. She is the most powerful woman in the Draw Sword Guild, and her skills were also praised by Goto Ryuuji, the strongest S-ranker in Japan.

Kanae is quite powerful for an S rank, and this shows, too, as she is the only S-ranker from her guild that survived the Jeju Island raid. She was defeated by Cha Hae-In during their sparring match, so we have a clear idea about how their powers rank.
2 Cha Hae-In
Cha Hae-In is the Vice leader of the Hunters Guild and one of the 11 S-rank hunters in Korea. Cha Hae-In is an attractive young woman with gray eyes and blonde hair. She also fell in love with Jinwoo after realizing that he was different from all the other hunters.

Cha Hae-In is undoubtedly the strongest female hunter in Solo Leveling. She is a master swordswoman and has incredible speed and physical strength. She was powerful enough to make the Ant King deem her to be a threat during the Jeju Island arc, which gives us an estimate of her powerful she is, considering the fact that she survived through the Jeju Island arc and got even more powerful afterward.
1 Querehsha
Querehsha is the Monarch of Insects and serves as one of the antagonists in Solo Leveling. She is a tall and attractive woman with insect-like characteristics. She is also really bloodthirsty, and she lives to kill, and she savors every one of her preys when she does so. Monarchs are an ancient race of evil monsters, and it isn’t known if they have the concept of genders, but based on their appearance, we’ll be making an assumption.

The Queen of the Insects, Querehsha, can use several techniques like Mana Manipulation, Necromancy, Inducing venom, Spiritual body manipulation, and even regeneration. None of these techniques saved her, though, as she was killed by Jinwoo when she arrogantly fought him, with the assumption that he was far too weak to win against her.
