E3 has left us with a lot of new games to look forward to in the coming year. With various showcases such as Xbox & Bethesda, Nintendo, and Ubisoft, gamers are pretty much spoilt for choice regarding the number of titles available.
Now, it’s our job to sift through the various reveals and figure out what game deserves our pre-order. GameStop is helping with this decision as they have revealed the top 10 titles from E3, which have been gaining high pre-order numbers.
This year, some massive names in the gaming sphere were mentioned at E3. We finally got a glimpse of Halo: Infinite and Starfield while Nintendo is adding a new installment to the classic Metroid franchise. Square Enix also debuted an all-new Guardians of the Galaxy game, which has created quite the buzz for itself.
While the annual E3 awards do let us know which games are the “Most Anticipated,” it can still get tricky to choose what to pre-order.
GameStop’s “Top 10 Pre-Order” list mentions the games that are being pre-ordered the most; it also includes an ‘honorable mention.’’ This is a game that is selling well, just not to the extent that it could gain a place amongst the top 10. This year, the honorable mention is Halo: Infinite, which is expected given the game’s popularity. Once the definite release date is announced, we expect to see a surge in pre-orders.
At the top of the list, we have Nintendo’s Metroid Dread. This will be a very popular title as it has been topping the charts everywhere ever since its reveal.
In the second place, we have the HD remaster of Skyward Sword, which was announced in celebration of Zelda’s 35th anniversary.
In third place, we have Mario Golf Switch. Nintendo has had a very successful E3 as it has managed to nab the first three spots on the list despite going head-to-head with next-gen consoles.
Here is the complete top 10 pre-orders list from GameStop,
- Metroid Dread: Coming 10/8/21
- Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD: Coming 7/16/21
- Mario Golf Switch: Coming 6/25/21
- Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl: Coming 11/19/21
- Mario Party Superstars: Coming 10/29
- Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Coming 10/26
- Far Cry 6: Coming 10/7/21
- Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance: Coming 6/22/21
- Madden NFL 22: Coming 8/20/21
- Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Coming 1/28/22
Given that many of the games shown at E3 aren’t available this year, and some don’t even have release dates, we expect this list to change as we get closer to each release.
