BTS Image Confirms Filming Has Begun for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 has officially started filming, as confirmed by a behind-the-scenes image featuring the show’s star, Lola Tung.

The series first premiered on Amazon Prime on June 17, 2022, and is based on Jenny Han’s book series of the same name. The story follows a 16-year-old teenager, Isabel “Belly” Conklin, who goes on a vacation to Cousins Beach with her mother and brother to spend the summer with the Fischer family.

But the summer turns out to be a little different from what Isabel had expected, as she gets stuck in an interesting love triangle with Susannah Fischer’s two sons, Jeremiah and Conrad.

The series received positive reviews from both critics and viewers. It was considered a fresh, coming-of-age love story that is an enjoyable watch. Ahead of its premiere, the series was also renewed for a second season.

Now that the cast has officially begun filming for Season 2, fans can expect more BTS images as well hints, teasers, and posters for the upcoming season. Considering that now is when they began filming, viewers can expect Season 2 to premiere sometime in summer 2023. For a summer-themed show, this seems like the perfect time for a release.

The makers have not revealed much about the plot of Season 2, but it is expected to focus on the storyline of the second book in The Summer I Turned Pretty series, titled “It’s Not Summer Without You.” However, Han has been pretty open to changing various details of the plot from the book, so the exact details remain uncertain.
