Loyal fans across the world await the release of Chapter 1123 with bated breath, knowing full well that it will signal the end of the Egghead Arc. The preview of Chapter 1123 has dropped, and it is all we could hope for (and more).

The Chapter gives us a glimpse into the various events and connects the dots to end the Egghead Arc, a tantalizing glimpse into the aftermath of the Egghead Arc; this ending is the herald of the Elbaf Arc (25 years of waiting) and reveals a few secrets that get our brain wheels spinning. Especially Dr. Vegapunk and his mysterious actions and words.

1. Did the Straw Hat Pirates Escape from the Egghead Island?

To the joy of viewers and otaku fans across the world, in the previous chapter of One Piece, the Straw Hat Pirates took a significant stride forward as they departed from Egghead Island (FINALLY).

With the Thousand Sunny Pirates and the Giant Warrior Pirates sailing on their ships towards Elbaf, the crew’s escape can be considered complete. The absence of formidable threats on Egghead Island has made this possible.

The Five Elders of Egghead have been removed from the island (to a very large extent), this leaves only Saturn behind. Even though Saturn is a formidable opponent to face, he is not nearly strong enough to single-handedly detain the Straw Hats and keep them from leaving if they so wish.

Additionally, the sharp-sighted readers will note- most of the Marines, including several of the Vice Admirals, have been left incapacitated. Admiral Kizaru, who can be considered the most important of them all, has already been taken care of a way back. The way the Straw Hats have left the island signals the beginning of a new adventure.

They will likely head to Elbaf unimpeded (it has been a long wait), and as they continue their voyage, it is likely that we will see the chapter focus shift to the reaction of people across the seas to the events at Egghead Island. Important characters like Shanks, Buggy, and Monkey D. Dragon will have interesting reactions to the news.

2. The Elbaf Arc- What to Expect?

The Elbaf Arc is one of the most anticipated storylines in One Piece. After a wait of 25 years, the Straw Hats are finally on their way to Elbaf. Although Chapter 1123 will likely not have us shift directly to the Elbaf Arc, it is expected that we will see the backdrop of and world-building for the Arc.

It is likely that between setting the story into motion and showing the Pirates traveling and major characters starting their plans, there will be a couple of chapters to bridge the gap between the Egghead and Elbaf Arcs (so as to keep us on our toes).

The events on Egghead Island are bound to break out and spread along the waves to all the major characters who are all on their own saga. Major characters like Shanks, Blackbeard, and Dragon are expected to react and take action accordingly in response to the incident.

Shanks is actively searching for Blackbeard, and it is likely that their paths will cross soon. Dragon is preparing for a confrontation with the World Government’s forces and is focused on the Gpod’s Knights.

The Five Elders are also going to be occupied with the implications of the Egghead Incident and their preparations for the Great Cleansing (same with important World Government characters).

This chapter will serve as a base setter and the prelude to the Elbaf Arc by setting up the stage across the whole world of One Piece to connect all the dots and move the key and important players into action (Oda’s way of building up the hype).

Dorry and Brogy

As our crew travels to Elbaf, the focus will be on the island’s lore, and Oda will have a rich backdrop for the excited readers about the Land of the Giants. Since we have acquainted ourselves with Dorry and Brogy, the two giants. The journey to Elbaf will be both thrilling and important to the story. (Fans can expect to see interactions and character building with the Elbaf lore being dropped here and there).

The transition from Egghead to Elbaf will bring fresh adventures to the fore (including strong enemies and stronger friends). With there being no break between the chapters now- after the release of Chapter 1123, loyal OP otakus can look forward to weekly updates (giving us some respite- Thankyou God Oda!)

Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. His diverse crew is joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this will be one memorable adventure.
