Episode 3 of The Slime Diaries is titled “Summer in Jura.” True to its name, the episode is all about how Rimuru and the citizens of Tempest deal with the summer season.
Rimuru goes out and meets Rigurd, who is also finding it difficult to adapt to the heat. Rigurd mentions that the summer this time is much hotter than usual because of the disappearance of the Storm Dragon, Veldora.
Rimuru feels responsible because he is the reason that Veldora disappeared since he ate him.
Rimuru meets up with Gobta and goes out with the group to conduct summer day activities. They try catching beetles, but the beetles end up being too huge to catch.
They then decide to Water-Fight with Gobta and the others in one team and Rimuru in the other. All of them end up completely drenched by the end of it.
An endurance competition is also conducted in which everyone has to sit in the heat, keep adding more layers of clothing to themselves and eat Hot-Pot. However, everyone passes out during the eating stage because of Shion’s cooking.
The episode ends with Gobta dragging Rimuru out of the bar to go and watch the fireflies in the night sky with everyone.
Rimuru is quite moved by this view and decides to live every day to its fullest and fill every page of his diary.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime is a Japanese manga series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was serialized online in 2013 but was later shifted to Micro Magazine as a light novel in 2014. It currently has 21 volumes.
The story of Tensei Shitara Slime follows the journey of Satoru Mikami after he died and reincarnated as a slime in fantasy land. A slime is a creature that reproduces the form and powers of anything that it absorbs or eats.
Satoru starts eating all the magical herbs and crystals in the cave he woke up in and stumbles upon a dragon who had been captured and couldn’t move due to a barrier. Since both of them had nothing else to do, they befriend each other. The dragon accidentally makes Satoru a named monster, and Satoru promises him that he’d find a way to break the barrier. Hence, an unknown journey begins with this unusual friendship.
