The Slime Diaries Episode 13: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

The spinoff anime of “That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime” called The Slime Diaries is out with its 12th episode. The story of this anime is irrelevant to the main plot, hence making it an enjoyable watch with no heavy moments.

In episode 12, Rimuru and the others celebrated the start of the New Year. First, the people of Tempest visited Rimuru to worship him and pay his respects. After that, Rimuru and the others participated in different New Year’s activities.

1. Episode 13 Speculations and Discussions

The Slime Diaries is just a more detailed perspective of how Rimuru and Tempest’s citizens live their everyday lives. 

There are no updates regarding the continuation of The Slime Diaries. However, I’m sure it is on its way, as it was received really well by the fans. 

Since the Slime Diaries is all about the laughs and the various adorable moments, I’m sure we can expect another 12 episodes long season that involve many more celebrations and festivals.

Rimuru will also encounter new characters, and there could even be some fight scenes. There is even the slight possibility of seeing our very own tsundere dragon, Veldora, in the sequel. 

However, we got nothing to worry about. We can watch the much-awaited 2nd cour of Season 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime which airs on 6th July 2021, while we wait for the sequel of The Slime Diaries.

2. Episode 13 Release Date

Episode 13 of The Slime Diaries anime has not been scheduled to be aired yet. Episode 13 can also be considered as the first episode of the second season of The Slime Diaries.

3. Recap of Episode 12

Episode 12, titled “Enjoying New Year’s to the Fullest,” starts off with Rimuru being excited to celebrate his first New Year since coming to this world.

Shuna has prepared a new outfit for Rimuru in commemoration of the New Year. She dresses him as a deity for the people just before he addresses all of them and wishes them a Happy New Year. 

Back at Rimuru’s place, Shion, Shuna, and Rigurd personally wish Rimuru a Happy New Year. Rimuru playfully gifts them a ball of rock which is considered a joke back on Earth. However, they are moved by this gesture.

Milim excitedly shows Rimuru her pink kimono. He yet again jokingly compliments her. Even then, Milim really appreciates the compliment, discarding the deeper meaning behind it, which was quite insulting.

Rimuru is surprised to see a shrine built. He feels nostalgic as he used to go to the shrine to make an offering and pay his respects every year. 

However, he notices that there is no deity present inside the shrine. Upon asking, he realizes that he is the Deity of his people and is made to sit in the shrine while people pay their respects.

Rimuru teaches his subjects the tradition of writing down your resolution for the year in calligraphy and hanging it on the wall. All of them come up with different resolutions, some having meaning, some having none. 

Youm and the others are made to do labor and prepare Mochi for everyone. Geld surprises Youm by making really cute and tasty mochi for everyone.

Treyni visits Rimuru to greet him for the New Year’s. Along with the greeting, she warns him of the tough times to come and that he should be prepared for it.

The episode ends with Rimuru glancing at his diary and anticipating the adventures to come.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime is a Japanese manga series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was serialized online in 2013 but was later shifted to Micro Magazine as a light novel in 2014. It currently has 21 volumes.

The story of Tensei Shitara Slime follows the journey of Satoru Mikami after he died and reincarnated as a slime in fantasy land. A slime is a creature that reproduces the form and powers of anything that it absorbs or eats.

Satoru starts eating all the magical herbs and crystals in the cave he woke up in and stumbles upon a dragon who had been captured and couldn’t move due to a barrier. Since both of them had nothing else to do, they befriend each other. The dragon accidentally makes Satoru a named monster, and Satoru promises him that he’d find a way to break the barrier. Hence, an unknown journey begins with this unusual friendship.
