The new season titled ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement’ is a huge reference to a major story arc in the manga series’ story that headed towards the series’ “closure”.

The 1st episode of the new season of ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement’ is set to premiere on January 13, 2021.

Titled ‘From Purgatory’, the episode will be airing on TV Tokyo and BS Tokyo. Episode 0 of season 5, a 76.5 special, titled ‘Great Charming Emission Special,’ was released on 6th January.

The anime was set to be released in October last year but was delayed to January 13, 2021 due to COVID-19.

Fans can expect to see the second Holy War take place between demons and union of the goddesses, fairies, giants, and humans.

Elizabeth was abducted by the demon Estarossa last season, the former’s fate might be revealed in the upcoming season. Let’s find out how the dragon sin captain Meliodas will protect the humans after all.

About The Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins is a fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki.

The manga began being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2012 and continues till the present with around 39 volumes published.

Studio A-1 Pictures adapted the manga into an anime in 2014, with the third season currently being produced by Studio Deen.

The Seven Deadly Sins takes place in the Kingdom of Liones’ where The Holy Knights of Brittania defeated the alleged traitors of the kingdom – The Seven Deadly Sins – during their coup.

Ten years later, the very same Holy Knights stage a coup and begin a tyrannical rule in the kingdom. They forced the third princess Elizabeth Liones to go in search of the Nanatsu no Taizai to bring back peace to the kingdom.
