The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement episode 22, titled “A Taste of Chaos,” has been released this week.

Last, we saw Merlin reveal her most desired wish to her comrades. She revived Arthur as the Lord of Chaos which could bring about the decimation of the world.

In episode 22, the Priestess of Chaos exposed Melin’s actions to Meliodas and the others. They got to know that everything Merlin had done to date, was for the resurrection of the Lord of Chaos.

1. Episode 23 Speculations and Discussions

Episode 23, titled “An Everlasting Kingdom,” is revealed at the end of episode 22. 

Concerning events that occurred in episode 22, Merlin abandons Meliodas and the others to stay with Arthur and protect him.

Cath could not be erased even though Arthur’s power of Chaos defeated it as he had some of the power after it consumed Arthur’s hand. Merlin will engage in battle with Cath as Arthur is injured and will find herself backed into a corner.

Despite being abandoned by Merlin, we can expect to see Meliodas and the others come to her aid and rescue her. Arthur will also muster up the strength to fight, and together they will defeat Cath once and for all.

Episode 23 of the The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement anime, titled “An Everlasting Kingdom”, has been released on Wednesday, Jun 16, 2021.

3. Recap of Episode 22

Episode 22, titled “A Taste of Chaos,” starts off with Meliodas and the others being made aware that Merlin’s actions were a facade all this time. 

The Priestess of Chaos mentions how Merlin planned everything to happen according to the way she wanted in order to resurrect the Lord of Chaos.

It has come to light that Merlin caused the sealing of the Demon King and Supreme Deity, which caused the imbalance in power. She also intentionally delayed the spell to stop time to resurrect Meliodas as the Demon King.

Merlin even drove the combo move used by the Seven Deadly Sins against the Demon King into the Magic Lake on purpose as it was necessary to revive Arthur as the Lord of Chaos.

However, all these aside, Meliodas is furious that Merlin intentionally reactivated Elizabeth’s curse that Meliodas had once broken so that it would drive him to eradicate the Demon King. 

Upon further questioning, it is revealed that Hawk’s mother, on whom the Boar Hat is located, was just a provisional form that the two Gods used to seal Chaos. Now, all that power is flowing inside Arthur.

Out of nowhere, Arthur’s pet Cath, whom he presumed was dead, appears. Arthur goes to greet it, but the priestess of Chaos tells everyone to beware. 

Meliodas saves Arthur just as he is about to make contact with Cath. However, Arthur loses his hand in this process as Cath consumes it. Arthur proceeds to use the power of Chaos to defeat Cath after realizing its selfish intentions.

Elizabeth suggests Merlin bring Arthur back to Britannia so he could be treated. However, Merlin bids them farewell and cuts ties with them by sending them back to the kingdom.  

The episode ends with Cath coming back even though it was defeated by Arthur to claim Arthur’s body. Merlin stands in its way to protect Arthur.
