The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement episode 20, titled “Mortal Enemies,” has been released this week.

Last, we saw Zeldris finally get back control over his body after defeating the Demon King in the mindscape. 

In episode 20, The Seven Deadly Sins amplify their powers to the maximum limit with the help of Merlin’s spell. With this, they defeat the Demon King, who was using the entire land of Britannia as its vessel.

Episode 21, titled “What the Witch Had Always Wanted,” is revealed at the end of episode 20.

The Sins and the rest of Britannia will celebrate their victory over the Demon King by having a grand party.

This party will also be a tribute to Escanor, who gave his life for his comrades. We will also see Merlin express her true feelings regarding what she wants.

3. Recap of Episode 20

Episode 20, titled “Mortal Enemies,” see the Seven Deadly Sins facing off against the Demon King, who is now using the land of Britannia as its vessel.

The Demon King has the upper hand at the start of the battle. He uses his overpowering move, Death Zero, putting the Sins under tremendous pressure.

However, with the help of Meliodas, Escanor, and Ban, they break through the Demon King’s hold. 

Merlin then uses a spell that makes them surpass their limits and gain more power. They all use their best attacks against the Demon King. 

Before the attacks could connect, Merlin uses a spell that combines all the attacks into one incredibly powerful attack.

The Demon King realizes that this could be fatal for him and tries to manipulate Meliodas, his son, into pitying him and sparing him.

Meliodas catches onto his dirty trick and proceeds to use Full Counter repetitively on the attack, making it significantly more damaging. 

Merlin suggests Meliodas to attack the Demon King in the direction of the lake that absorbs all magical elements, thus not destroying the nation.

In this way, the Demon King is defeated. However, him having the identity of a God does not let them completely eliminate him as his essence; the orbs of the Ten Commandments are still present.

Meliodas unleashes his full power, which surpasses the Demon King and destroys the orbs of the Ten Commandments, putting an end to the existence of Light and Dark.

The episode ends with Escanor saying his last words to all of his comrades before dying. Merlin kisses him, scarring herself as proof of the existence of a person who truly loved her.
