Episode 17 of The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement has been released this week.

The Demon King has taken over Zeldris’s body. The Seven Deadly Sins engage in battle with the Demon King while Meliodas tries to help Zeldris gain control over his body. 

Escanor receives the Grace of Sunshine from Mael, which lets him aid his comrades one last time.

1. Episode 18 Speculations and Discussions

With reference to episode 17, The Seven Deadly Sins arrive to aid Meliodas to defeat his father, the Demon King, who is now in possession of Zeldris’ Body.

In episode 18, titled “The King Sings Alone,” we can expect to see King and Diane team up and use their powers to damage the Demon King. We shall also see Escanor use his Grace of Sunshine at maximum output since it is High Noon. 

We can also expect to see Zeldris gain control over his body with the help of Gelda.

3. Recap of Episode 17

Episode 17, titled “ The Voice Calling Your Name,” starts off with The Seven Deadly sins fighting together against the Demon King.

Escanor receives the Grace of Sunshine from Mael and arrives to aid his comrades. However, this is the last time he can use this power. He is thrilled that his last battle is going to be with him defeating the Demon King and saving the world.

While Escanor, Ban, and King engage in battle with the Demon King, Gowther and Meliodas infiltrate the Demon King’s mind to free Zeldris from inside. Since the mindscape belongs to the Demon King and Zeldris, they cannot directly interact with it.

Gowther is forcefully expelled from the mindscape as he ends up interacting with it. Meliodas is having a tough time trying to save Zeldris without interacting with any aspect of the mindscape.

Gelda finds her way into the Demon King’s mind to save Zeldris, her lover. Out of the multiple duplicates of Zeldris present, she is able to identify the real Zeldris. 

Meliodas helps them as much as he can and leaves the mindscape since this battle can be won only by Zeldris defeating the Demon King and regaining control over his body.

Meliodas joins the battle against the Demon King. The Seven Deadly sins attack at full force. 

Diane feels useless compared to the others and tries her best to help them. She unveils her true power to help everyone. During this moment, King proposes to Diane and asks her to marry him as soon as they defeat the Demon King.

The episode ends with Escanor using his Grace of Sunshine at maximum output since it is High Noon.

The Seven Deadly Sins is a Japanese fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine from October 2012 to March 2020, with the chapters collected into forty-one tankōbon volumes.
