Even if this week seemed more like a setup for what’s to come, there were still a few unexpected events and appearances that would surely have an impact on Naofumi’s circumstances in the future.
Since Naofumi has seen Ren, it is likely that Ren will attempt to attack him as well, which will cause Naofumi and Motoyasu to band together.
Eclair warned Naofumi, the leader of the slavers, that he likes to attack groups that are separated, and it feels like they will likely target the white tiger siblings since they are the youngest and least experienced.

In the latest episode of The Rising of the Shield Hero season 3, Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo leave Motoyasu behind and, on their way back home, are attacked by a group of surprisingly powerful assailants.
S’yne appears and helps the party defeat them, with their bodies mysteriously disappearing. With Naofumi still suspicious of her, S’yne reveals that she is a vassal hero from a world that was previously destroyed.
The enemies they fought had ties with those responsible; thus, she wants to protect the other heroes to prevent the same from happening to their world.
Despite still having some doubts, Naofumi takes S’yne in and sets off to the Dragon Hourglass with some of the children who reached Level 40 to class up. Meanwhile, both Aultcray and Mirellia acknowledge that Atla has a striking resemblance to someone they know.
Once back home, Naofumi learns from Eclair that a group of bandits appeared nearby and decides to hunt them down with his party, including Keel, Fohl, and Atla.
The episode ends with Naofumi serving as bait for the bandits. Later on, he roams alone with Raph-chan until he comes across Motoyasu fighting a masked bandit in the middle of nowhere, whom Naofaumi, when looking closely, recognizes as Ren.
