The Spirit Tortoise began its rampage in episode 3 of The Rising of the Shield Hero season 2 titled “Shaking Land.”
It was an intense battle-heavy episode with lots of casualties. The Spirit Tortoise shocked everyone with his secret move, which led to many lives getting lost. Things looked out of the hands of our shield hero for the majority of the episode.
They manage to pull off a win, but luck is not on their side as we are greeted with a shocking twist at the end of the episode. Things have changed completely now, and thanks to the cliffhanger, we have to wait another week to know what’s coming up next.

Episode 4 Speculations
Things have taken a shocking turn as the Spirit Tortoise is still alive. Now, Naofumi and his party have to find out the truth behind Ost Hourai’s claim in episode 4 of The Rising Shield Hero season 2 titled “Ruins in the fog.”
I am really hyped for the next episode because of the way the episode revealed the shocking fact and left us at a cliffhanger.
Naofumi will have to find merit behind what Ost Hourai is saying and find a way to defeat the Spirit Tortoise once and for all. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Episode 3 Recap
A soldier informs Mirelia that the Spirit Tortoise is active again and has begun moving. The shield hero with his party and the Haikazuya army’s dragon riders and Melromarc cavalry have already left to stop it.
Everyone gets ready to provide their assistance in every way possible. When Naofumi is about to leave, one of Melty’s shadows shows up, telling him that she has to be with him as per Melty’s orders.
Eclair marches ahead with her army. When Naofumi appears before them, they get motivated and more cheerful. As they moved forward, the Spirit Tortoise familiar began attacking them. The Spirit Tortoise shows up in the midst of all this.
All the soldiers try to stop the tortoise with constant attacks while Naofumi and the party try to stop the familiars. Ost Hourai uses a spell that helps her control gravity making the familiars immobile. Meanwhile, the siege weapon attacks on Spirit Tortoise are ineffective, and there have been a lot of casualties.
However, the bombing teams had withdrawn, and the commander of Spirit Tortoise kingdom stands there alone. He blows himself up to stop the tortoise. His plan works, and the sapper bombs successfully stop the Spirit Tortoise’s advance.
While the Spirit Tortoise is pinned down, they begin planning a way to cut off its head. They find out a shocking fact: even if the tortoise is not moving, it’s still dangerous. Suddenly, some thorns start coming out of its body and start causing damage.
Many soldiers lost their lives because of this sudden attack. Naofumi tells everyone to get into the cart and orders the shadow to send a message to the princess about something. They all start preparing for the final attack, which is a multi-caster ritual magic.
Many mages gather at the top of a hill and start their spell. Naofumi tells Raphtalia and FIlo to get ready. They began their attack to cut the Tortoise’s head off and, after much struggle, were able to pull it off.
They take a sigh of relief now that the battle is over, but Ost Hourai is still alive and she was supposed to be disapper after the Spirit Tortoise is killed. Thus it means the Spirit Tortoise is also alive.
