The Quintessential Quintuplets Special 2, covering the Honeymoon arc, revealed a new visual and trailer on Friday. The anime project was initially announced during the 5th-anniversary event at Yokohama Arena last April.
Before its TV broadcast, the special will be released in Japanese theaters for a limited three-week run starting September 20, 2024. Additionally, limited theatrical screenings will soon occur in several Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei, and Thailand.

Just as this Fall was beginning to seem lonely, the delightful Quintessential Quintuplets is returning with another Special! This second Special is named ‘the Honeymoon Arc’. Pony Canyon shared the first trailer and the new visuals of the special.
The popular anime will be up for theatrical screening in Japan from September 20, 2024. The TV broadcast will be after around three weeks. The exact dates are unknown as of now and will be announced later.
The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc trailer shows the male lead, Futaro, and the five Nakano sisters in Hawaii. The visuals cover their games on the beach and their dives into the sea, showcasing their vigor and joy.

The Quintessential Quintuplet anime’s official X handle has shared the PV with fans. They have also confirmed that the screening of the anime special will be limited to a few countries – Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Thailand, and the Philippines.
An exciting announcement that the Quintessential Quintuplets staff have made is the main visual for The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc anime. The five Nanako sister can be seen having immense fun on the bright beach, with the vast blue Hawaiian sky as their backdrop.
2. New Information About the Cast Involved in Honeymoon Arc
The romedy anime has managed to feature a returning cast, much to the relief of the fans. The major cast being Yoshitsugu Matsuoka for Futaro Uesagi, Kana Hanazawa as Ichika Nakano, Ayane Sakura as Yotsuba Nakano, Miku Ito as Niku Nakano, Inori Minase as Itsuki Nakano, and Ayana Taketatsu as Nino Nakano.
The special will be helmed by Masato Jinbo, who is in charge of both the direction of the anime and the script at Bibury Animation Studio. There will be new character designs by Masato Katsumata. Finally, the maestros – Natsumi Tabuchi, Hanae Nakamura, and Miki Sakurai- compose the musical scores.
Interestingly enough, a surprising piece of information has been released. The anime’s opening theme song will be sung not by famous Animusic stars but by the voice actors of the Quintuplets (Nanako sisters). The anime’s opening theme song is called Gotobun no Egao (Quintuplets Smile), and the ending theme is Memories.
The official description of the Honeymoon Arc sets it as – The long-awaited honeymoon episode, based on an original concept by Negi Haruba and, under his complete supervision, is brought to life on screen.
We bring you the daily lives of Futaro and the quintuplets as adults! Futaro successfully guided the academically struggling and study-averse quintuplets as their part-time tutor until their “graduation.” Though each achieved their dreams and walked their paths, they each carried some worries…
Amidst this, Futaro and the quintuplets plan a Hawaii trip doubling as their honeymoon and just as preparations were going smoothly, an incident occurred, causing a great panic! 3. About The Quintessential Quintuplets
The Quintessential Quintuplets is a manga created by Negi Haruba in 2017. The manga ended in February 2020 with a total of 14 volumes.
The manga has inspired an anime adaptation titled “The Quintessential Quintuplets” with Season 1 aired in 2019 and Season 2 aired in 2021.
The story revolves around Futaro, a high school student from a low-income family, who receives an appealing offer to work part-time as a tutor…but his students turn out to be girls from his class!
What’s more, they are beautiful quintuplets but happen to be problem students who have poor grades and hate studying!
His first assignment is to win all the sisters’ trust in this rom-com surrounding the five sisters of the Nakano Family.
