The second season of The Promised Neverland is due soon, and I am super excited to know what’s coming next!
According to a recent announcement, however, the pace of the entire anime might get changed. What are the new changes that the anime will undergo?
Emma, Norman, Ray, and the Gracefield kids have escaped the house where they were being ‘farmed’ rather than raised. Now, they are about to enter the unpredictable and foreign woods outside Gracefield.
They will soon encounter demons who are more cruel than their nightmares but also ones who are friendly in their journey.
The Promised Neverland will reportedly have “original scenarios” in the upcoming second season of the anime. The original scenes will be supervised by Kaiu Shirai himself, the creator of The Promised Neverland series.
So basically, the anime is going to get some filler episodes in the second season. It is mostly anime whose mangas have not been completed yet get filler episodes to help the manga catch up.
One example can be Black Clover, as it had the training arc as filler. However, The Promised Neverland has a completed manga, and it is not a particularly small series either.
Why Does The Anime Need More Materials Then?
There can be several reasons for the original series’ plotline. Still, the primary among them is that the staff either want to extend the anime because it is popular or want to change the original series’ plotline.
A lot of fans criticized the ending of The Promised Neverland manga. Although the ending is quite far off, some of the in-between arcs have not been satisfactory as well.
The Promised Neverland’s first season received many awards and entered the list of best anime series of 2019. No wonder the plotline is being extended.
