If you have watched Black Mirror, you should be well acquainted with the undertone of The Peripheral. It shows a horror-filled dystopian world where technology has become our nemesis.
Till now, future London was an utterly lawless land dominated by criminals and men of power. This week’s episode has finally brought the police into the mix. Will they be able to curb the massacre that is taking place? Or will they be a part of the ‘collateral damage’?
Let’s be Sherlocking!
1. Episode 7 Synopsis/Speculations
The show has reached a very critical junction, and things have really started to open up. Let’s start with the climax.
Lowbeer’s peripheral meets Flynne at the end of this week’s episode. The eccentric detective is hell-bent on getting to the root of the deaths in the Research Institute. The screen blacks out just after she meets Flynne, and I am sure they will have much to discuss in next week’s episode.
I believe Flynne will be completely honest and tell her everything from the very beginning. It will jeopardize the lives of both Lev and Wilf. They will probably try to frame Aelita or any random person to get out of trouble, but Lowbeer won’t buy any of it.
Lev and Wilf will be arrested on the spot, or they will flee. A cat-and-mouse chase is on the cards.
Talking about prison escapes, Bob has likely done that in this episode. We don’t see Bob getting out of Corbell’s mansion explicitly, but how things ended suggests that Bob is a free man now.
So, what is he going to do now?
He will do exactly what he was hired to do in the first place. I think he will try to kill the Fishers from the word go. Corbell will try to stop him, starting a cat-and-mouse chase between the three parties.
Since the police have gotten involved in this week’s episode, we can expect them to have some say in the proceedings. Will Lowbeer be able to catch these two contract killers? We have to wait for next week to know that!
Finally, Cherise hasn’t found Aelita yet. She will continue to look for her along with robot Daniel. There must be some clue about her whereabouts for sure!

In this week’s episode, we are introduced to detective Ainsley Lowbeer. She is appointed to investigate the murder of Daniel.
Meanwhile, Tommy is asked to take a paid leave after his car crash. He tries to investigate on his own and finds that the Sheriff’s shoes match those of the person who wanted to murder him. Another conspiracy?
Conner decides to live in the peripheral forever so he can use his legs again. His friends disagree and tell him that it can potentially destroy his mortal body.
Corbell keeps Bob hostage in his mansion. But when he goes out, Bob manages to trick his wife and escapes.
In the meantime, Flynne, Burton, and Connor wake up in their avatars in the future. They are standing beside Lowbeer, who wants answers.
